The restaurant is located in the historic center of Modena just a few minutes from the Duomo and opposite the historic Albinelli market. For those who go the first time, it is a bit difficult to find it because the restaurant is on the first floor of a building and does not have a clearly visible advertising sign. The restaurant does not accept reservations therefore during rush hour customers must wait in the restaurant or in the entrance hall of the building. The service in general is a bit chaotic, especially in the hours of greatest flow of customers. In any case, the waiters and waitresses are very nice and helpful. There is no paper menu but the dishes are listed verbally by your waiter. Typical Emilian cuisine from Modena without frills. Non-existent wine list. The quality of the food is good especially in relation to the price. In service it is fast so the place is suitable for a lunch break. The restaurant does not accept credit cards but only debit cards and this is unacceptable in 2020.closed on Sunday.

Recommendation from a local person turned out to be best choice for lunchbrake with kids. Short daily menu with tasty pastas, al ragu (kids love it), nice wine recommended by the lady (owner I guess) and now we are enjoying local Lambrusco, great dessert, affordable price (coperto is included). Usually they have a long wait list before you can get a table, but while waiting to be called the are ready with the table you can visit Mercato Storico (via a vis) or Duomo (4 mins walk). To find them, you need to look for the number 40 between other bars/restaurants, enter the building, reaching 1st floor by stairs and let the waiters know how many people you are + leave your phone number. Coffee was very good as well, as the home made food and Italian vibes and atmosphere. Thanks and we will for sure return to try the pumpkin dessert by your chef.

Sunday. 12h35. i arrived half an hour after the opening that's why the restaurant was already full. if you will go solo on a Saturday, you might find it hard to get a table. I was asked to be waitlisted for an hour or so. I asked a young italian couple if they are ok to accomodate me on their table coz i am alone and i came all the way from Paris just for a lunch and bla bla. Luckily, they said YES!! We had our table in like 30mins. We opted for three pasta tasting : tortellini in broth, rissoto with pumpkin and balsamic vinegar and tagliatelle al ragu. With Lambrusco of couese. Everything was delicious and the mascarpone cheese with small pièces of chocolaté cake is just to die for. The whole exoerience is all worth the wait and the distance!
