Our experience at The Picari was nothing short of exceptional! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we ordered was crafted to perfection, offering a wide assortment of incredible flavors that truly showcased the best of Modena’s culinary scene. Without a doubt, some of the best food we had during our trip!

Beyond the outstanding food, the overall experience was wonderful. The warm and inviting ambiance made for the perfect date night, and the service was just as impressive. The team was incredibly friendly and attentive, with a special shoutout to Marco, who was an absolute highlight of our visit—thank you for making our evenings so memorable! We enjoyed ourselves so much we came back the following night.

Situato in una via conosciuta del centro di Modena, propone una cucina di base tradizionale ma con estro e ricercatezza nella preparazione.

Nel frattempo di ordinare, chiediamo 3 porzioni di frittelle di baccalà. Buone, ma nulla di spaziale - e forse il prezzo un po’ altino per 4 frittelle/porzione (12€)

Proseguiamo con polpo cotto a bassa temperatura, tortellini in brodo, risotto al cotechino, passatelli alle vongole. Piatti ben presentati, sapori ben legati, ma forse le aspettative essendo alte non sono state soddisfatte.

Si vede che c’è una buona preparazione dietro e preservazione della tradizionalista, ma alcune cose le ho reputate mancanti.

Il tortellone: perché non arricchirlo con una foglia di salvia fritta, o una coulis? Il polpo: la base di “morbido di patate”. Il polpo è già morbido, perché non inserire un ingrediente croccante? Una chips di patate o di zucca, una crema un po’ più spinta di senape.

Tutto buono eh, ma mi è parso di gustare piatti a metà.
