Ristorante Fà a Mód — Restaurant in Modena

We feel very fortunate to have found Fa a Mod in their first week being open because once the word is out, I believe it will be very busy. The interior is cozy and welcoming with a youthful vibe. The outdoor seating seemed lovely as well but our kids usually don’t do well outside at night. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They were very accommodating given our large group with 7 kids and very kind to our wild children running all over. Our server spoke perfect English which helped since most in our party don’t speak Italian. The food was fantastic and really fit the bill for Modenese cuisine. I’m not sure there was anything left on a plate when it was all said and done. The tortelloni with butter and sage, gnocco and tigelle with cheese, steak, and meatballs were all wonderful. Il locale è di recente apertura e si raggiunge comodamente parcheggiando sui viali per poi proseguire a piedi. Offre posti sia all’interno che all’esterno, con tavoli affacciati su Canalgrande, perfetti per la bella stagione. Il design punta sulla modenesità con uno stile urban e minimal, a mio avviso già visto e rivisto.

Il menu rispecchia il concept del ristorante, proponendo piatti della tradizione modenese e delle zone limitrofe.

In quattro, abbiamo iniziato con un erbazzone da condividere, seguito dal classico gnocco e tigelle con affettati. Da modenese, tutto nella norma: accettabile, ma senza sorprese. Sicuramente un gruppo di turisti ne avrebbe apprezzato di più l’esperienza. Per dessert, due mascarponi con un deciso gusto d’uovo, proprio come piace a me. Con due bottiglie d’acqua e un lambrusco, il conto è stato di 28€ a testa, un prezzo ormai nella media.
