La Pignatta — Restaurant in Modica

I’ve just had my best (gluten free)pizza in my life in this place. We’ve came to eat here by coincidence as this place were near to our airbnb. I had the opportunity to taste some superfine pizza on our trip before, but nothing like this. If you want to taste the best glutine free pizza, you probably have to visit Modica. The staff were super nice too and the local wine is priceless. If you have a hard time to decide where to eat, dont hesitate to give a chance to this place, you wont regret! Wenn wir nicht eingeladen gewesen wären, wären wir hier nie eingekehrt, da es schon von außen nicht besonders einladend wirkt. Nun ja! Wenn man reinkommt empfängt einen eine extrem helle Kühlschrankatmosphäre und zu viele Tische auf engem Raum (Gott sei Dank war es nicht voll). Das Essen ist von minderer Qualität, bei uns ist jede Pommesbude besser. Die gemischte Vorspeise Platte war ein Witz und sehr schlecht, rohe Zucchini und rohe Auberginen mit Öl beträufelt, der Rest, na ja! Ich hatte ein Steak, was als dünne Aufschnittscheibe daher kam, die Hälfte voller Sehnen und daher ungenießbar. Der gemischte Salat war ein grüner Salat mit ein wenig Möhrenraspel, kaum zu sehen. Die Pommes waren OK, hätten aber noch etwas gebraucht. Die Ravioli von meinem Mann waren OK, aber nichts besonderes. Der Krabben- Cocktail meiner Freundin war schon über der Zeit und unappetitlich anzusehen. Das Fleischgericht meines Mannes war ok, kam aber auch in der Einheitstomatensoße daher. Alles in allem eine große Enttäuschung und auf gar keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Wie die Pizza ist können wir nicht sagen, da wir keine hatten.

Nachtrag: Ihre Antwort auf meine ehrliche Kritik Ihrer Speisen (und darüber waren wir uns alle einig) zeigt, über welches Niveau Sie verfügen! Ich habe eine gute Erziehung genossen und deshalb wünsche ich Ihnen alles Gute und für die Zukunft bessere Lebensmittel und einen besseren Koch!

We visited the place by coincidence. We were undecided where to have dinner and found La Pignatta on Google maps. We booked and did not expect much but we were wrong. The food is very good, portions are good and the range of pizzas great. The service was excellent. The pizzaiolo personally came to ask us if we liked the pizza which we took as a starter. We also had the fritto misto and swordfish - amazing food. We surely suggest anybody visiting the area to have dinner at this place. Thank you for the lovely evening...
