Mezzopieno — Restaurant in Molfetta

We came here because of a recommendation from someone we trust, and this place met all our expectations. Friendly and attentive reception. Ordering was reasonably quick. Friendly guidance through the menu. Display of today's meat; which looks absolutely fantastic, but is a bit too much for us. Tolerance as we stumble through a silly mix of Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian. We feel especially welcome when they ask if we want the starters first or if we want all the food at once. We would have loved to stay longer, but the kids are so tired.

The fried squid and shrimp are light and crispy. Served with lemon. A little aioli on the side would have lifted it.

Buffalo mozzarella with ham is flavorful and delicious.

The pizza is perfect; fluffy, crispy crust and delicious flavors.

The spaghetti troccoli mazzancolle e crema di pistacchio may be our favorite. We have never tasted pistachios and seafood together, and it is fantastic with freshly made pasta with perfectly integrated sauce. Yum!

Minus: Although the restaurant is located in a beautiful and rustic space, they go overboard with extremely bright lighting. For us Scandinavians with children used to eating dinner earlier than Italians, it is a downside that the restaurant does not open until 8 pm. The kids are exhausted before the food arrives, and beg to go home and go to bed. Another downside is that they do not offer juice on the menu. Not all children like soda.

I do not recommend!!! 2 hours of waiting for someone to come to take the order (we asked the waiters who passed by many times to serve us) finally the lady followed us to the table to take the order and she did not know any English to somehow communicate, even when we showed her pictures of the menu on their website she did not know what kind of pizza it was, after another 2 hours we got a terrible pizza served as if for someone I do not know who everything was ruined, the bottom was burnt, the order did not even match what we ordered, I definitely do not recommend! avoid this place the opinions are probably bought or asked out...

Dire che metto una stella solo perché è il minimo per poter commentare è poco. Io e il mio gruppo di 6 persone, (nonostante la prenotazione) arriviamo all’orario prestabilito e attendiamo 20 min per sederci (ma vabe abbiamo ignorato la cosa capendo che il sabato c’è più gente). Ci accomodiamo e dopo altri 20 min eravamo pronti per ordinare ma nonostante le sollecitazioni ai dipendenti per ordinare ci è stato solo ripetuto ‘vi mandiamo il collega’, inutile dire che abbiamo aspettato ancora. Ordiniamo e il piatto di stuzzichini arriva in 10 min, il peggio arriva per le pizze. Ordiniamo alle 22:15 circa e le pizze ci sono arrivate alle 23:45, letteralmente 1h e mezza di attesa e le pizze ci sono arrivate tiepide non belle calde. Quasi dimenticavo che ad inizio serata ci viene chiesto di lasciare una recensione ancor prima di aver mangiato nulla, il tutto così che ci avessero offerto un amaro, al momento del pagamento è stato richiesto nel dettaglio quante persone avessero commentato con la pretesa di vedere le recensioni; e per concludere devono ringraziare che ha pagato il mio ragazzo, il quale pagando in contanti si è sentito dire di non fargli lo scontrino così facendo l’altro amico del gruppo ha richiesto di pagare con la carta. Sono fortemente dispiaciuta per i dipendenti ai quali abbiamo sollecitato più volte le cose ma la situazione era diventata ingestibile tanto da non esserci neanche gustati le pizze perché la fame era...
