A Hidden Gem in Monopoli – Unmissable Gelato & Cheesecake!

What an incredible find! This cozy little cafe in Monopoli completely stole the show. The gelato is out of this world—smooth, rich, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the care and quality in every bite. And the cheesecake? Absolute perfection. Creamy, just the right amount of sweetness, and possibly the best I’ve ever had in Italy.

Our first night was good but the kitchen was closed despite a menu board on full display outside. We were coerced into prepared parmigiana, which was served lukewarm, heated in the microwave; obviously not fresh. Reheated on request. Called in for lunch today; raining so seared inside. We went to look at the offering in the window but we couldn’t order there; we had to sit down and wait for a waiter. We wanted to share one pasta dish. They couldn’t understand. Our serving appeared to be quite small compared with the men who were served large portions. The reception was quite unfriendly today. Everyone seemed to be...

Because we parked the car across the street, we had our late lunch here (15h30).

The chef already left, so we had to choose from what they had left. They assured us that it was fresh of the day. And that's how it tasted like.

Don't be misled by our photos. We asked to cut the portions in half. Easier to share.

We enjoyed our food. And the staff is friendly and helpful. Even patient.

They only have 1 toilet, but it was clean. And it's accessible by wheelchair.
