The King Street Food — Restaurant in Monopoli

While the food looked OK, I’m purely providing my rating based on my experience to try to have lunch here today. When it was very hot out, I asked a waitress if we could take a seat at a table outside under the umbrellas to which told us to ask the waiter colleague. I asked him, he told me to wait very firmly so I waited. He then went to the tables separated them so that we could sit at one (as were only a group of two) and when I went to come over and sit down, he very rudely told me to go wait over by the door. While he was trying to move a chair, another Italian couple came and sat down at the table without talking to anyone else. I then asked him why we couldn’t sit there and he then told me the only spot I could sit was directly in the hot sun (even though there were 2 other open tables in the shade that suddenly became “reserved”). I hadn’t been treated like this in Italy so it came as a bit of a shock to my wife and I. We told him we were OK and would leave, to which he got all mad and walked away. The service was exceptionally nice, and the staff made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal.

The food was absolutely delicious, especially the breakfast options. It's a fantastic breakfast spot with a wide variety of mouthwatering breakfast dishes to choose from. I couldn't get enough of the flavorful breakfast food they served.

What really stood out for me was the ambiance. Being able to enjoy our food and drinks in such a charming square, surrounded by the historic buildings of the old town, added a unique and delightful touch to the overall experience. It created a very pleasant and memorable atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience.

In this small square in the middle of Monopoli there has been a Pucceria with a small book café and bar for 11 years.

The doors are open from 8am until midnight, every day. The very first thing we eat here is the Pucca. It's similar to a bread roll with some side dish. But it's made from original Apulian dough in the bakery's own visible area. The ingredients are as varied as on a pizza. This is also available to eat here.

Pucca Homemade! In my opinion it is one of the best 5 Pucce in Monopoli and the surrounding area!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️✌️😘😘😘😘

Then there is the book cafe with bar. Here you can get homemade cakes around the clock!!!! There are also delicious drinks here for you. And you can have an fantastc egg breakfast also.

In questa piazzetta nel centro di Monopoli esiste da 11 anni una Pucceria con piccola libreria e bar.

I cancelli qui sono aperti dalle 8:00 a mezzanotte. Ogni giorno.

La prima cosa che mangiamo qui è la pucca. Simile ad un panino con un piccolo contorno. Ma è fatto con l'impasto originale pugliese nel nostro panificio a vista. Gli ingredienti sono vari come in una pizza. Questi sono disponibili anche per mangiare qui.

An diesem kleinen Platz mitten in Monopoli gibt es bereits seit 11 Jahren eine Pucceria mit einem kleinen Bücher Cafè mit Bar.

Hier sind die Pforten von morgens 8 Uhr bis Mitternacht geöffnet. Jeden Tag.

Als allererstes essen wir hier das Pucca. Ähnlich einem Brötchen mit etwas Beilage. Aber ist in originalen appulischen Teig in der eigenen einsehbaren Backstube hergestellt. Die Zutaten sind so variationsreich wie auf einer Pizza. Diese gibt es hier auch zum Essen.
