Came here for breakfast while on a tour. The woman didn't want us to order food, so we grabbed food that was already prepared. The pastries were dry and my sandwich was old. My friend ordered a different sandwich which tasted a little better, but when asked to order one, the woman said no because she didn't want to have to go in the back to cut more. I wish I would've went to a different Caffè.

Forget all the fancy restaurants in Montalcino, this is THE place to go to for an authentic, Italian ristorante & bar. More than reasonable prices for delicious pasta dishes and glasses of Brunello to die for. And if you’re lucky, the house cat joins you under your table while you’re watching the traffic and people passing by.

Breakfast yesterday outside: 2 cappuccinos, 1 croissant, 1 panini: 7€. 2 juices 3€. Breakfast today outside: 2 cappuccinos, 1 croissant, 1 piece of cake: 10€. 1 juice: 2,5€. What was different? The waitress. She thought we were tourists. She even told me that "she didn't know that I lived in Montalcino". Pity, since we live nearby and would love to have breakfast there in the weekends, but won't be back there at this point. Advice for the tourists: choose...
