An Unforgettable Brunello Tasting Experience! I recently had the immense pleasure of visiting a winery and indulging in a delightful tasting of three exquisite Brunello wines. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic and left a lasting impression. The winery itself was charming, set amidst picturesque vineyards, which immediately set a wonderful mood. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, making the entire visit truly enjoyable. They guided us through the tasting with expertise, sharing fascinating insights into the history, production, and unique characteristics of each Brunello. Each of the three Brunello wines we tasted was a masterpiece. Their depth of flavor, elegant structure, and captivating aromas truly showcased the exceptional quality that this region is renowned for. It was a genuine privilege to explore such remarkable examples of Italian winemaking. We made an appointment a few weeks earlier through an email exchange with his daughter, Monica. We were a few minutes late because we decided to park near the church and take the short walk down to the winery rather than attempting the somewhat precarious drive in our little rental car. Enzo and Matteo were waiting for us outside of the winery and greeted us warmly. Three other people soon joined us for an hour and a half of touring and tasting. Enzo was so gracious and friendly. As Matteo translated to English, Enzo shared the story of his career in wine making. He was very humble about his leading role in the establishment of the DOCG designation for Brunello di Montalcino. It was a memorable visit that more than made up for the rather harrowing drive from and back to central Florence. We are now eagerly awaiting the two cases of Brunello we...

She greeted us warmly; it was extraordinary to talk with her and Matteo, the head winemaker - especially since it was the first day of their harvest. Very small intimate group (just 4 of us) and Matteo was so well-versed, but friendly. Learned so much, and fascinating to understand this family's history - at the forefront of brunello. Really great wines that were well-priced. It's located just a short walk down a gravel road over the walls of Montalcino, surprisingly, which made it very easy to park in town and just easily walk to the tasting when...
