READ THIS BEFORE DECIDING! (Mostly for non-italian tourists):
If you arrive or pass by here and there is no queue - definitely eat here!
If you want to come here or you see the queue and wonder if it's worth it, the answer is: depends how many you are and if you have time.
I'll explain: During busy times like weekends, holidays / high season - there might be a long queue.
The staff asks people how big their group is and checks for availability. most tables have 4 seats. So bigger groups mean longer waiting time. So if you are 1-2 people you might get a table faster than the people in front of you.
The Food: Napolitana pizza usually has thin base and thick crust. Most pizzaa here cost up to 10 EUR, but if you add 3 EUR they make the entire doe crustier.
So remember that when the waiter asks you if you want "soft" or "crunchy", because crunchy cost extra!
The pizza itself is very good. The tomato sauce seems fresh and not from a can or jar.
Also remember that in Italy (and especially Napolitan pizzas) have toppings here and there and not like "dominos pizza" with toppings all over and evenly.
Lastly - if you've never had Olives on a pizza in Italy BE CAREFUL! They almost never remove the pits/kernels! Chew with caution and be aware of that.
Recommend: Pizza Napoli (with anchovies, capers and more).
Vibe: Overall sitting outside is nice and the vibe is fun, however - if you sit next to the wall you might smell an odd smell.
That's because a row of trash cans of different types are just behind and below that wall so if you can try to get other tables 😉
The staff Overall nice and friendly, always in a hurry because there are many people to serve... Other than that note that the more people there are, the more waiting time you'll have. I'm our case they told us we'll have to wait for 30 min.
Just order some Aperol and you'll be...
Read moreDay 8 in Italy and first place to get the worst "pizza" ever in my many travels to Italy!
First of all, we asked for gluten-free pizza, this was 20min before they opened the restaurant just to check. So 3 guys were in the place, and we got a bit surprise at how bad the English was thinking that it's a big holiday place (S . Stefano).
Next, they told us to book in advance the GF Pizza because it's limited, so we did and asked if we could book the same day, but later on that evening and he was like "yes now if you like" and another guy said "come anytime" after I asked if 8 worked, very confusing dialog.
So at 8 o'clock we went to the place, a friendly girl asked for what we wanted and I pointed out a pizza, ( they have 3 different types of dough) but she just said "not possible today" Okay, so I asked for another type but again and now with a bad tone "NO, it's not possible today" So after some time I asked for the last type of pizza and ok the normal was OK to buy today!
So, the gluten-free arrival and shortly after my pizza. Here began the disappointment. The GF was pail and not any good. The other pizza was the wrong pizza, so I needed to wait further and once it arrived, the pizza was not cooked properly. The bottom was like elasticbans and had absolutely no taste, furthermore oure Aperol was like water!
So never will we come here again and we don't...
Read moreThe food was delicious but our entire experience at this restaurant was horrific. One waiter in particular was incredibly degrading and rude. I have never experienced such disrespect. I asked (in Italian) if he spoke English, and he said no. He sat us at our table and did not bring us silverware. My husband was very kind and our Italian is not great but he did his very best, as he always does, to ask questions and order in Italian. Our food came out, and it was cold by the time we could get anyone to bring us utensils to eat with. There was an English speaking couple sitting next to us, and this same waiter spoke to them in very good English the entire time. He explained the menu and took their order IN ENGLISH. As I went to pay, I approached this waiter and said “you told me you don’t speak English…” and he started shouting at me in Italian. It was awful. I cried as I left. What a horrible experience for my family.
…it definitely happened at your restaurant. In fact I am eating lunch across the street and I see the waiter now. He is overweight with brown hair. I am happy to take a photo or show...
