Overall, quite average with a few friendly servers. Wine very poor for half carafe at 19 euros...Chianti Riserva but like watered down blah red. Not sure how this is possible when a local supermarket wine at 5 euros a bottle is far superior? Delicious in fact! The food was OK and we didn't complain when ordinarily we would, as a gentleman next to us who was dissatisfied with his wine had a hard time having this view accepted by staff. Unpleasant to witness when out. We've been in Italy for two weeks and this was the poorest pizza to date, despite having a gluten free option, the reason we went. The lasagna was very bland and the Tuscan Fillet a Chianti was reasonable but the sauce was similar to a shop bought one. A bit gloopy - Just ok. However the so so food isn't the reason for the poor review. We were hungry and time pressed after a busy day. I can forgive mediocre food if the atmosphere and service balance it out. Not so here. Noone asked us if we needed anything when the food was delivered- the wilted uninteresting salad for example- I had to request the standard oil, vinegar and salt/pepper...This is Italy- why do you serve wilted lettuce, dried up grated carrots, bland beef tomates and- tinned sweetcorn!!!! in a mixed salad???? No plates offered to eat this from!!! Whilst two waitresses were pleasant, the general atmosphere was not welcoming to non locals, evidenced by the staff's super friendly stance to those who were either from Montecatini or Italians, the antagonistic reluctance of staff to take customer feed back on their wine ( our neighbouring table) and a cashier who at the optimum moment lost her colleagues a tip due to her complete lack of customer facing skills. A pity- I know we're just 'tourists' but hey I think that's a bad attitude. We're not philistines... I'm sure there are better experiences for visitors in this...
Read morewent there to dinner with my brother last night and it was really unpleasing. At the beginning, they forgot to basically serve us: they gave us water bottles and not even the glasses. Alright, small mistake. Then they bring us our main dishes after around 30/40 minutes, and are nothing but sort of depressing. The pizza was just straight up frozen bought from the supermarket and they just put it in the oven and then filled it with a lot of oil. The side dish of vegetables was just three aubergines and three courgettes, that was it. The meat and pasta were alright overall, nothing special. But our other friend basically was forgotten to be served the second dish. It arrived after another 25/30 solid minutes, and then it was just a piece of salmon covered poorly with sesame seeds and some awful random sauces next to it. Overall a pretty unpleasing experience, if you are looking for something of quality to eat or are just a tourist looking for a good italian restaurant, definetely don't go here. It has little to nothing of italian. Cute decorations though.
Someone please tell the cooks to stop making pizzas or to actually learn how to make them. I have seen other photos of their pizzas and they’re completely awful. They do not know how to make it or it’s straight up bought from the...
Read moreIt's a good place for lunch or dinner. The personnel there is welcoming and helpful. We were there for dinner and ordered bread with tomato and garlic like bruschetta and Lady Tartare for starters, spaghetti with seafood and lasagna for the main course, and tiramisu and torta della nonna for dessert.
The bruschetta was nothing wow, just bread with tomato - 3/5 ⭐️ Lady Tartare - it was okay but not what I expected. I thought it was going to be classic tartare, seasoned and spicy, but what I got was just meat cut in large dice and pesto. 3/5 ⭐️ Spaghetti with seafood was good; I wouldn't add or take anything away. 4/5 ⭐️ The lasagna was perfect, flavorful, and melting. 5/5 ⭐️ Torta della nonna 4/5 ⭐️ Tiramisu was like cold, creamy soup. I thought Italians made the best tiramisu, but that wasn't the case in this restaurant. 2/5 ⭐️
We spent 88€ for everything, food & drinks, and if you ask me, it wasn't...
