MO. C. A, Montecatini Contemporary Art — Attraction in Montecatini Terme

The building is of historical importance + until May 4th, with free entrance, there is a VERY interesting portrait exhibition of the florentine photographer Carlo Cantini. The people portrayed have all played an important role in the artistic, cultural or political scene both in Florence, Italy and in some cases abroad. Artists like Vedova and Rauschenberg, actors like Vittorio Gasman all taken in a light and setting which highlights their personality. Interessante museo. Ex uffici postali, inaugurato all'inizio del 900 in un periodo di fasto e notorietà per Montecatini Terme. Pensare che in questo luogo siano passate personalità come Giuseppe Verdi aggiunge un tocco di fascino particolare. Oggi ospita nei suoi archivi più di 500 opere che ovviamente per motivi di spazio vengono esposte a rotazione. Unico dipinto sempre esposto un famoso Mirò fatto appositamente dall'artista ormai anziano per la città e recante tanti dettagli dei momenti di lavoro...
