Chaplin Spaghetteria Ristorante — Restaurant in Murera/Muravera

Chaplin Spaghetteria Ristorante is a very nice restaurant, we dined there twice. The first time we had a 'Grigliata mista di pesce' for 2 people (grilled fish platter). It was very good, afterwards we shared a first course because we felt like it wasn't quite enough. The pasta is amazing, I would definitely recommend it. We had 'carbonara di mare' (seafood carbonara made using smoked swordfish). I very enjoyed it and I wish I could eat more and have other types of pasta because they all looked tasty. There is actually a 'tris di pasta' if you wish to have a bit of different pasta dishes available on the menu.

On the second day, we requested a day in advance a dish called 'filetto di cernia' (grouper fillet). The restaurant offers some elaborate dishes that needs hours and fresh selected material to be prepared, hence they ask their customers to book them in advance. The dish was very tasty and fulfilling, we asked for the dessert soon after that.

The vibe is very friendly and locals are dining there too. The waitres are extremely welcoming and pays a lot of attention to their customers.

we arrived late, because in September ( off-season) they close the kitchen at 9:30 - which we didn't expect. but the staff was very welcoming asking the kitchen to open after their closing time. thanks a lot for that! we got some amazing calamari fritti, a grilled-to-perfection Dorade (this actually put this fish back on my culinary horizon. we like it salty though - so keep that in mind). and some scampi. i should have ordered the tiramisu with only one spoon as my girlfriend did enjoy it a bit too much. the restaurant is a bit brightly lit - changing that to some incandescent light bulbs would make it a lot more cozy, but that's just our taste.

the white house wine was delicious as well and we would have stayed for another mezzo littro if we would not have feeling so guilty to come so late and keep everyone from getting home.

After having several overpriced average meals, we decided to strike out on our own. Chaplin Spaghetteria was our choice and it did not disappoint! Portions were generous. The food was so flavorful! The Sardinian pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was spiced as requested. The mussels were perfectly cooked and the sauce was light with just the right amount of garlic, salt and other seasoning. The fried pork was delicious and well seasoned- not greasy but perfectly fried. Very light and tender. Local wine was robust. The service was great- friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend and we look forward to going back before our Sardinian...
