I stopped by Caffè Tico on a tired afternoon after going to Pompeii and ordered Caffè carrecca and Sfogliatella. Especially, I ordered this coffee because it's the signature menu here, and it was delicious. Sugar, foam, and espresso in the cup gave a harmonious taste. Lemon-flavored water is suitable for controlling sweetness.
The best thing here was the two baristas. As an Asian student studying in Europe, sadly, I have not a few experiences of being ignored when I visited European restaurants and cafes. So I didn't expect anything from this cafe at first, but they were so friendly as if I were an old regular customer. I feel like I'm home after a long time. I was very disappointed in this city during my stay in Naples, but thanks to this cafe and baristas, my impression of Naples was completely reversed.    Read moreI recently visited Caffè Toco and I must say, it was a total disaster. The experience was far from enjoyable. The first thing that struck me was the cleanliness, or rather, the lack thereof. The entire place seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages.
The worst part, however, was the state of the restroom. It was absolutely filthy. I couldn't even bring myself to use it, and I've seen some bad restrooms in my time. It was clear that hygiene was not a priority here.
I wouldn't recommend Caffè Tico to anyone. It's a shame because the coffee might have been decent, but the overall cleanliness and service were such a turn-off that I won't be returning...
