I will start off by saying that the bruschetta was lovely, but it’s not difficult to get right. From the moment we got there, we were made to wait outside (the restaurant was empty) and the waiter aka security guard eventually allowed us in, can I point out that we had a reservation. We sat down and we were asked to scan a QR code, for a menu that does not cater to anyone who doesn’t speak Italian. The waiters could not translate anything so in the end, we found some pictures from previous reviews and decided to go with steaks. I asked for mine medium, my partner asked for theirs medium-rare. Whilst we were eating or starters, they came and put the mains on the table, we were still eating our first course, my partner asked if they were in a rush and the waiter said “Yes” and walked off. Bearing in mind, there were 4 people in the restaurant including us. The steaks arrived raw, borderline blue. When we asked them to cook them for longer, it was almost like it was the biggest inconvenience. The sides (boiled potato’s and veg) were ice cold and had definitely been placed on the plate straight from the fridge. The steaks had no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt and pepper, they were SO bland. Our food returned and mine was half medium half raw still, my partners however, completely raw still, we had to send this back again and the waiter made a comment about my partner being “in fear” to eat raw meat. No, we just want our food cooked properly. No one came over at any point to see if we were okay, if we needed anything else, or if the food was better since sending it back twice. The place filled up quickly and you could see that it was clear because we were English, we got ZERO interaction, the waiters were laughing, talking, checking on all the other guests. Andrea has the worst customer service, his attitude is awful. He came over with the bill and told us he took the price of our 2 Coke zeros off for the problems WE had with our food, not the fact that they could not cook the steaks properly. After much complaining, we paid and Andrea got the receipt, put it on the table and walked off, No sorry, No thank you, nothing. Absolutely disgusting, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere, there are MUCH better and AUTHENTIC Italian...
Read moreShort Review: Don't go here unless you like being rushed, blue unseasoned steak, bad service & can speak Italian to resolve the many issues you'll face.
For those that want more details, I've never encountered soo many problems in such a short time.
Arrived to a near empty restaurant only to have the doorman shut the front door in our faces while he checked the reservation.
Struggled through a menu that only partly translated and ended up ordering calamari as I saw someone else with it. Had to convince them I wanted it as an appetizer but it still came as a main size portion, rubbery and either from frozen or twice fried as it was not fresh. Im an F1 fan but don't think you're supposed to eat Pirelli tyres!
Pointed to pictures of dishes on their Google Photos only to be told they were from the old restaurant that used to be there and they don't sell them anymore. Told the waiter to recommend their best steaks. We got 1 similar to a fillet and another like a ribeye on the bone. They arrived when I was still half way through my starter. I made a joke asking if they were in a rush and they said yes and walked off!
Had to send our steaks back twice as they were completely raw with just griddle marks when med rare was ordered. Waiter arrogantly told me I feared the steak which at this point, wasn't completely false. I do have to admit the quality of the meat was decent however the chef was clearly allergic to seasoning, had absolutely no idea what he was doing and garnished plates hours before service as all the sides were stone cold.
The waiter took €6 off our €70 cheque for the inconvenience, tore off the receipt after payment, threw it on the table and walked off. No apology, no complimentary limoncelo, no thank you for coming, no chance I wasn't...
