Abbunnanzia a Noto — Restaurant in Noto

We went here for pizza at lunchtime. The appeal was the air conditioning, as it was very hot outside. We were given a full menu and selected what we wanted, only to be told they do not serve pizza at lunch (only after 7pm. They need to make this clearer on their menu). The waiter and the owner were quite forceful that we choose something else..

We chanced upon this place trying to get away from the more touristy looking options a couple blocks up. It was a gem and were so glad we went there. Siamo capitati alla trattoria Abbunnanzia un po' per caso, stanchi e affamati dopo un lungo viaggio. Ma dopo esserci entrati, abbiamo subito capito che il caso ci aveva davvero ben guidato: i piatti proposti dal ristorante infatti, non sono soltanto prova di grande maestria e bravura degli chef, ma anche specchio del desiderio del proprietario Fabrizio di perseguire e mantenere viva la vera tradizione culinaria siciliana. Ciascun piatto merita di essere gustato perché è un ricchezza a sé e il nome stesso del locale la dice lunga sulle grandi quantità servite a tavola! Quello che però voglio sottolineare non è solamente l'alta qualità del cibo, ma anche il lato umano di questo posto: Fabrizio, quando apre le porte del suo ristorante, è come se spalancasse il suo cuore, con la sua gentilezza e cortesia ti fa sentire a casa! Ecco perché consiglio vivamente, a chiunque voglia visitare Noto, di fermarsi a mangiare all'Abbunnanzia: e stia pure certo che, al momento della partenza, avrà lasciato lì un pezzetto del proprio cuore!
