I was hoping for a more authentic Japanese dining experience, but unfortunately it fell short of my expectations. The sushi rice was bland, which made the overall taste feel unbalanced — proper sushi rice should have seasoning that enhances the flavor of the fish.
The starters, gyoza and spring rolls, seemed to be frozen products. The gyoza in particular was fried until very crispy, more like a spring roll, whereas traditionally it should be pan-fried with water so the bottom is crisp but the dumpling remains moist inside.
There was also a coperto of €3.50, but nothing additional (like bread) was provided. Lastly, we ordered sparkling water but received still water instead. No kids menu.
Overall, the food did not reflect the authenticity I was looking for. I hope the restaurant can improve on these details...

Jara is an excellent host, but also a great bartender - you must try one of the great cocktails offered in Noy!
