I have decided to visit all popular restaurants to taste their food, especially pizzas. It opens at 18:30 and we were at 18:00 because the door was open. I was told that l need to come back in 30 mins. We were back there at 18:30. I saw all employees at dinner. It was an awesome culture. They have their own dinner all together and then they serve customers. It is an employee first culture that l loved. As a Google Local Guide, my goal was to test the food and inform you guys. BUT l found stuff more than the food to write. What about the food? It was the best food l have ever eaten in Italy. The thin bread crackers were amazing. The service was excellent. Imagine that mu wife’s bag was on the table but due to variety of the we food we ordered, the table was a bit crowded. Without us saying a word, someone brought a little stand for her bag. Then, a fork was dropped. We didnt care because we were eating pizzas with hand. They noticed it and brought a new fork quickly. After that, some flies etc got the smell of the food and they started to fly around. Immediately, they lit up some fly-repellent to repell them. I cannot recall giving a restaurant 5 stars for everything but this place deserves it with their delicious food, great service and authentic athmosphere. Btw, l will visit again...
Read moreBe careful and check your bill before you pay. Their system makes you queue at the bar to pay after finishing your meal. They did not issue us a bill, just told us a number. It seemed high but whatever. I asked for a receipt to check and saw it was indeed 25% higher than the number on our bill. They made an excuse about it being from the table before us - but since we were waiting directly behind those who paid before us I know that was not true at all. They very quickly refunded us the extra when they realised we weren’t buying the story.
Aside from that, good food (although mine was too salty for my taste). Nice staff but slow service, they forgot our water and our food took so long to arrive that by the time it did our wine was warm. The menu is only accessibly via a QR code which I don’t personally like but it’s not the end of the world.
Seems like most of the reviews are great, but for our first meal in Olbia it did not set the bar...
Read moreZero stars for service. Two stars because the pizza was good. The restaurant was busy and full of locals (always a good sign) but we felt we were forgotten about several times seated in the front. Seated for 15-20 mins, no menu. I went and got them myself from the counter. 20 mins more, no waiter to take our order so I went to the counter to ask if we could please order, which seemed to annoy the waitress a little. By the time we ordered food, we saw many people finished their dinner, paying and leaving. The restaurant out the back was mostly empty or people had finished eating. More waiting. Two pizzas took 35mins to arrive at our table! Two groups of people arrive after and left before us. It’s a shame because the food was good. The service was incredibly disappointing. Maybe a different story if you are sitting in the back or you’re Italian, but this is not...
