Second visit, first visit last summer week night as a couple, second visit this friday couple with a toddler, like day and night. We were welcomed last year and had a great time. Last night was a mess. Not a place for children under 3 as they have only one high chair in all the restaurant, then we booked online so we went there at the time of the booking the owner looks at me and says I've tried to ring you to confirm we'll I've not had my phone with me, so he said sorry but the restaurant is full so I can sit you outside!! The email doesn't say anything about confirmation by phone, whats point having a booking system online if u have to ring to confirm.!! then my husband went inside to chose a wine and was chatting with the owner about the grapes, but then when so.e regulars came, my husband was left behind like were not important. The food is good but the experience is not worth it, was so exited to go back since our good experience last year but then spoiled and for the price you pay, definitely not worth it so I'd rather spend my money somewhere else where we all feel welcomed. Went somewhere else...

I have mixed feelings.

We were 2 and had 2 appetizers, 1 primo (shared), 1 secondo (shared), 1 dessert (shared), 1 half bottle of franciacorta (shared).

The franciacorta was good and price fair One of the antipasto was amazingly good. The other antipasto and primo were good. The second was ok-ish...the quality of the red tuna was not emphasized by the pistacchio crust.

While most of the meal was good...the price was clearly exagerated...we paid 150 euros in total. We had other meals in Mondello (with same fish provider, with same quality and it was much less expensive).

We also had non cooked bread (see picture) and expired olive oil (see photo - I know that olive oil can be used past expiration dates in general...but for the sake of professionalism in the restaurant business, they could keep it in the kitchen and not serve it on the table).

We discussed this experience with our hotel the same evening who confirmed us that they generally do not recommand their clients to go to Badalamenti because it is way too pretentious and over-rated...it is exactly...

Che delusione. Descritto come locale più rinomato della zona. Prezzi medio alti così come l'aspettativa. Nessuna presa in giro quindi. Buona estate...

We had booked our table for two on the website, which was very convenient, and were seated immediately as we came to the restaurant. We chose to sit outside and it was nice. Our water, wine, bread and starter were served quickly. But we had to wait very long for the main course, in comparison to other tables. (The table next to ours were served the wrong main course, which may explain why they got their food much quicker) Our main courses, Spaghetti with clams and Ravioli filled with eggplant, were ok, not more than that. We also had to ask twice for new cutlery. Not the best dinner experience we've had in Italy.

Excellent. I really fell in love with this little wine bar — it’s got great food and wine, and the service is absolutely lovely. While we only had the Italian ham & cheese platter, it was presented in a super nice way — and they went all the way to find a natural wine from the region that fit perfectly what we were looking for. We didn’t try it but could see some of the other items they have on the menu; and they looked fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for me, it’s been a pleasure visiting them — and would go there any time again.
