So we went there reading all the reviews about how great the place was. First of all Google maps took us all over the place and the road was closed out front so it was a bit of a chore. But we were not disappointed. We walked in not speaking any Italian.. we wanted to order some pasta (€3-4). But apparently they were out. What we got next was simply Sicilian food. Only local's. We didn't order, rather they just brought us food. If you're faint at heart....maybe don't eat here. Liver, tripe to say the least. Eggplant and pumpkin were AMAZING. Local wine. Fresh bread. We had any AMAZING experience. What the locals do. I couldn't eat or drink anymore. We had enough food for 2 people, and 7 glasses of local wine between us.....the bill was €26 . This is a place you go to to be a local. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 5 Stars. This restaurant has been in the family for 150 years. I Will come back here...

My most endearing memory is an italian guy who seemed the most content and happiest i witnessed in my life, as the big bowl of pasta, the grated cheese on side and the big cold bottle of beer were placed in front of him, spoon and fork in hands, mixing the pasta and the cream together, like Bud Spencer:) And how about us? We visited as one of the entries on our AI-powered list of places to eat out. I was not sure when approaching the entrance by the corner, but having stepped in, the warm welcome by the staff, and the whole ambience made me at peace and relaxed. I thought we'd come to a truly local hidden gem, but half of the customers were tourists like us, it seemed. We ordered Pasta alla Norma and some seafood creamy pasta. Both delicious, generous helpings. And Birra Moretti and Messina beers in cold glasses of course. Lovely, genuine, content,...

Went there twice during our trip to Palermo. What a hidden gem! Not a place for overrated instagramable food, but a place with local food, people, atmosphere and very very affordable prices. We enjoyed our food, portions are very generous, everything is freshly made and the (I presume) owner was very kind and tried to help us in any way possible. Would especially reccommend pasta ala norma and their paninis, which I dream of even upon returning home. This place will remain as such a nice memory...

Phenomenal introduction to Sicilian cuisine, first meal upon arriving in Palermo. Very cheap, neighborhood feel and mostly italians (always a good sign) seated at the crowded tiny restaurant, with convivial atmosphere. Worth venturing out from the Centre and more well worn tourist areas. The paninis are as good as it gets and you will be hard-pressed to find a better value for your Euro than this place.

Authentic place with very reasonable prices, they were very kind and you could feel that they care about your experience there. We had a nice chat and tried various dishes, roll with spleen was definitely not our thing, we are just not used to this kind of taste, pastas were just decent, and aubergine starter and roasted stuffed pepper was great! I would come back there to try different menu positions.
