So we went there reading all the reviews about how great the place was. First of all Google maps took us all over the place and the road was closed out front so it was a bit of a chore. But we were not disappointed. We walked in not speaking any Italian.. we wanted to order some pasta (€3-4). But apparently they were out. What we got next was simply Sicilian food. Only local's. We didn't order, rather they just brought us food. If you're faint at heart....maybe don't eat here. Liver, tripe to say the least. Eggplant and pumpkin were AMAZING. Local wine. Fresh bread. We had any AMAZING experience. What the locals do. I couldn't eat or drink anymore. We had enough food for 2 people, and 7 glasses of local wine between us.....the bill was €26 . This is a place you go to to be a local. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 5 Stars. This restaurant has been in the family for 150 years. I Will come back here...

We visited as one of the entries on our AI-powered list of places to eat out. I was not sure when approaching the entrance by the corner, but having stepped in, the warm welcome by the staff, and the whole ambience made me at peace and relaxed. I thought we'd come to a truly local hidden gem, but half of the customers were tourists like us, it seemed. We ordered Pasta alla Norma and some seafood creamy pasta. Both delicious, generous helpings. And Birra Moretti and Messina beers in cold glasses of course. Lovely, genuine, content,...
Read moreWent there twice during our trip to Palermo. What a hidden gem! Not a place for overrated instagramable food, but a place with local food, people, atmosphere and very very affordable prices. We enjoyed our food, portions are very generous, everything is freshly made and the (I presume) owner was very kind and tried to help us in any way possible. Would especially reccommend pasta ala norma and their paninis, which I dream of even upon returning home. This place will remain as such a nice memory...
