I give 2 stars, one for the chef, one for the very friendly young girl, who served us and tried to give a good impression.
BUT the fish stinks always from the head, also in this case.
Never ever in Sicily I felt so NOT welcomed: The manager was not only unfriendly , he was simply ignoring us.
Only after 40 mins of discussion they put together 3 tables , arguing it would be IMPOSSIBLE. It obviously was very easy.
Then it took them another 30 mins to open 3 bottles of Prosecco.
— All that time they made us wait STANDING!
They said, they would have veggie, fish and meet, but then didn’t habe meet AT ALL, although we called before and announced that we would like to have a proper diner and if they could provide everything.
it also took them 30 mins to pay and he was almost repulsive. No excuse for letting us wait, thanking us although we left more then 1.000 eur. Nothing like, hey we would like to take on …. It was incredible !!!!
Thanks for nothing!!...
Read moreCame here specifically looking to try their natural, biodynamic wines. My wine glass had lipstick marks, and to make things worse the first wine I was served was obviously corked. I tried to explain but the waitress seemed to think that I just didn't like the wine.
Neither of the wines were particularly good either - and we were charged €16 for 2 glasses of wine (in restaurants around here, you could almost buy a bottle for that).
Most annoying is that there seems to be different levels of service offered to customers - one of the waitresses was offering another table a guided wine tasting - something that we weren't offered despite me mentioning that I wanted to try wines from the local region. In the end, we decided to go elsewhere for food based on the service...
Read moreEverything about this place is incredible. From the atmosphere, to the interior, the backbar, the service, glassware, quality of spirits and the knowledge of the head bartender and of course the cocktails.
I had a Bocum style Negroni, Manhattan twist with Mezcal and Marsala wine, a perfectly balanced Whiskey Sour and a Dirty Martini Twist with Vodka from the US (Tito‘s) and Sicilian Olive Oil.
A little highlight was 2 talented music students playing some Ludovico Einaudi at the piano.
Such a friendly place even the owner stopped by for a handshake.
I highly recommend this bar for music lovers, cocktail enthusiasts...
