McDonald's — Restaurant in Palermo

This is a difficult one to review, as the food we ordered was hot and tasty. It didn’t take long to arrive and the staff were happy to serve me. However, the toilets here are absolutely terrible. The keypad doesn’t work, so anyone can use it. The toilets are dirty, broken, there wasn’t any soap and the sanitizer was empty. It made me feel physically sick in there! This McDonald’s needs these toilets refurbished and also more staff to clean them. There was barely anyone cleaning tables whilst we were there, I had to find a wet cloth myself to clean the table outside. There are station toilets nearby, which I believe have been newly refurbished- but they are chargeable. Could McDonald’s share these toilets instead ? Come on McDonalds, you...

So, I got stuck in Palermo without passport and credit card. The hotel I was staying at demanded 8EUR cash only in tourist tax. With no credit card I had no way to withdraw money and had to contact people at the station to help me.

Most said no and I understand, a guy with no id asking for money is not easy anywhere. I got in a talk with a you local guy who was keen on helping me out, I told him I could pay him something at the restaurant or anything for 10EUR if he could give me 8EUR cash. He went to the atm, gave me 10EUR cash and only asked for a coffee in return.

It turns out that this hero worked at your restaurant at the central station. Hope you are reading...

Il posto purtroppo non e' degno di portare il nome del Mac Donald. Bagni, vecchi, e sporchi accessibil solo ad i clienti. Non è un Mac reale, lo scontrino non esce con la dicitura "Mac", sono una specie di franchising. I prodotti sono pero' quelli del Mac Donald. Sconsigliato vivamente, se no con l'acqua alla gola.

The place unfortunately is not worthy of carrying the name of the Mac Donald. Bathrooms, old, dirty and only accessible to customers. It is not a real Mac, the receipt does not come out with the words "Mac", they are a kind of franchise. The products are however those of the Mac Donald. Strongly not recommended..only if you are with water...
