Theo trattoria — Restaurant in Palermo

I very rearly write reviews and I think it will not draw my attention, but I have to do it. Serving spoiled food, in my case, mussels, was way beyond respect toward customers. Stench of mussels was unbearable, but I still gave a try and tasted it, because thought that it's Sicilian style mussels. One bite just approved that it is spoiled, rotten whatever you call, but not edible. Hursh to say but this place is one of mine tope 5 worst places in the world I visited. The feedback from the staff was very.. how to say, no reaction, when we said that we will not eat mussels, asked waitress to smell it and she said its fine and you can tell from her face that she was asking us what is wrong with you people. I would recommend rather to go just to the next corner Anita's bar where we have had nice late dinner with drinks and dessert for a half price we left in this place. BTW, other food was bland (other food was as well on the edge of freshness). I have doubs if Google reviews are the tool we could rely on anymore. Wanted to be more objective, so, I gave few stars for atmosphere and service, but still doesn't change the feeling they left about this place. We spend 76 EUR for 2 adults and the child for that experience. Vacation in Silicy have just began, so, I believe the other experiences will be more exiting...

I had a pleasant dining experience with friendly and attentive waiters who made me feel very welcome. I particularly appreciated how they handled a mix-up with my reservation, which I had made through The Fork. Despite the mistake of marking my reservation as a no-show, they honored the 20% discount as promised, which I found very considerate.

The food was tasty and well-prepared, but I did have an issue with the billing process. The bill was a bit confusing as it only showed the total amount without a breakdown of the individual items. It would have been helpful to see the cost of each dish and the wine separately, as is standard in most restaurants. Instead, I received a printed paper with just the total amount, which left me unsure about how much I was paying for each item.

Overall, the service and food were great, but I would appreciate a more detailed bill in the future to make the payment...

Food wasn't bad (and very reasonably priced) but it was nothing special. Standard set menu with a couple of 'specials' (which were really no more than slight variation on a couple of dishes from the set menu). These 'specials' had to be asked for - no indication anywhere that anything was on offer other than the set menu. The wine offered in a carafe was virtually undrinkable. But the most disappointing aspect of our experience was the ambience. There was none. Sat outside by a busy main road, we could have been anywhere. Ok for a quick cheap bite to eat, but nothing to savour and no...
