I never intended to go to Parma, but i am glad i came. One of the Reasons was the Cittadella -Parma 1988. Come early so you have sun in the Yard, depending on what time of the Year your there this maybe warming. But they also have little green Houses which are for the more skinny boned. i recommend the Pizza Parma, i usually try to take what's related to the City i am going to. The Espresso is of course good in any place in Italy. But here it is especially good. The inside of the place is beautifully decorated and every table feels open but private. The surrounding is quite and there is not much traffic. A girl that was sitting in a corner was reading and learning, which tells me this is a place with a space to think. And thought trough is what i would call this place! :) Must go to in my opinion. The owner didn't even have to pay for this.... Ok i had an Espresso on the House :P but that he says is just good manners.
Schaut vorbei...

The croste di parmigiano reggiano Bertinelli was the worst thing I have tried in over two months of travel in Italy, I was amazed I didn't break a tooth. Most of the wait staff speaks English, which was nice when needed. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet wouldn't flush so there was a mountain of toilet paper in the bowl. I got locked in the bathroom after turning the key twice and had to cry for help, a waiter came to my rescue and told me to take the key out and then put it in again to unlock the door. A star for him alone. One waiter asked us to leave a five star rating and we could earn points to earn a coffee or dessert but that same waiter who helped swooped in and said we could have one for free because I asked where the figs were. They seemed a little conflicted. We didn't want coffee or dessert, so we left. Lots of people in their 30s-50s on a Friday night. Le patate al forno were nothing spectacular. Overall, a bit overpriced for the experience. The outer courtyard with banana trees had tables spaced nicely for private...
Read moreWe were searching for a nice place to have glutenfree dinner with friends during our annual staycation in Parma. Came across Pizzeria Cittadella Parma thanks to Google. We have been there before, but before they changed into a Pizzeria. We were four adults and a baby. The staff was very nice and took care of all our needs like a children's chair. It's a good place to also bring your kids. The pizza glutenfree and "normal" both were very delicious and something special even for being in Italy. Glutenfree pizza has a surcharge of €2, which is ok in my opinion, considering they bring in the dough from an outside special facility and have a separate oven. They also have glutenfree beer. The dessert gelato "sweet and a bit salty" was good as well.
The only downside is the restroom. There is only one restroom for everyone which in my opinion is not enough for about 120 seats in the outside area. Also there is no really good place to change diapers for your baby.
We'll definitely...
