Alla Brace — Restaurant in Pescara

A lot of places are closed on a Monday but this one was not, so we had dinner there. The waitress was friendly but if you don't speak Italian it'll be a difficult time. I resorted to the translate function once to communicate with her, other than that I'll now give a dummies guide (as far as we figured it out):

After ordering your drinks you order food. So far so normal. If you go with a panini this will be easy, if you go with skewers and sausages, do the maths for the whole table and order the sum of each. You'll get a buzzing and beeping device which is going to inform you that your food is ready (at least when sitting outside). You pick up your items then, unless the waitress is quicker (happened to us). Your skewers will be wrapped in paper, each kind gets its own little wrap. They don't get mixed up that way, you might have to figure out which is which by yourself though.

The skewers are fairly tiny, so expect to demolish a good number of them. They are not seasoned too much but taste nice. The meat sausage was very very meaty and delicious.

The Bruschetta which we had as a starter has a very nice selection of toppings. If you like those things, give them a try.

Alla Brace, in via Caboto a Pescara, è un punto di riferimento per chi ama la carne alla brace e cerca autenticità, gusto e qualità. L’atmosfera è semplice ma accogliente, il servizio veloce e cordiale, e la proposta gastronomica ruota attorno alla tradizione abruzzese, senza mai risultare banale. Gli arrosticini, tagliati a mano e cotti alla perfezione, sono una garanzia assoluta. Ottimi anche i panini farciti con ingredienti selezionati, le salsicce, le costarelle e i fritti: asciutti, croccanti e mai pesanti. Ogni piatto è pensato con attenzione, la gestione è appassionata e si vede. Il locale funziona benissimo sia per un pasto veloce che per una cena informale, mantenendo sempre alto il livello.
