We Stayed for 3 nights here, and we were very happy with the appartment. It was very clean, modern and with awsome aircondotion- one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The tea-kitchen was very well equipped, and on arrival there was water in the fridge. Bathroom is modern and the shower very nice too.The only thing missing was the balcony that booking.com told that all the rooms had. I could not find any balcony, but I am willing to overlook this because it is not the hotel's mistake I guess.|It is alot of noise outside since the hotel is in the crowded street, but me and my son dont mind and if one do mind, the windows are very soundproof so its just for one to close them.|Anyhow.. |We spent alot of time with the fantastic aircondition, with the result that we both caught a cold and felt somewhat sick on the last night. We spent it awake and with cough and a running nose . The check out is at 11 and at 14.00 a girl from the Staff came to our door and woke us up. She excused herself and said she was just there to check if everything was ok with us, because the hours went by. We felt to get understanding without question, and we did not have to pay extra for the whole 3 hours (even though the room was booked for other guests the same day). We never miss our check out- time, but this ment alot to me and to us. All'Orologio get a full score for its clean and comfortable rooms and for their calm and understanding staff in a place with alot of tourism. |Keep up the...

Read moreMy wife and I ordered a margarita pizza to share. The experience was good until the end when we were going to pay. Apparently we had to pay a mandatory service fee, which they explained is like tipping in other countries. The pizza costed 8€ and the service fee was 6€. I have several thoughts:
It would have been nice to be informed beforehand from the staff or on the menu that there's a mandatory service fee. Paying a 75% tip/service fee feels quite extreme. If the tipping is mandatory - it's not a tip. What was the service fee even charged for? For cutting the pizza in half and putting it on two plates instead of one? It feels like service like that should already be included in the price of eating at a restaurant. It feels very greedy to charge hefty sums of money for small things like that.
If I hypothetically would visit them again (I will not), I will let them know that I can carry out my own food from the kitchen and wash the dishes myself. I don't want to pay some ridiculous service fee for what should already be included in the price or at least be...
