Ristorante Alligalli — Restaurant in Pisa

Really nice staff that goes out of the way to make sure that you have a really good meal and total experience. We liked this place so much we had to go back a second time.

First night we ordered onion rings for starters, first time we have been served real onion rings and not some mushy dough. A good sign for the rest of the meal. For the main we ordered IL Fortino, a shared meal between two people. It came on a board and was packed with grilled food and home made chips. We could not finish it, so we got the rest of it in a box to take home, and had that for breakfast.

Day two we had croccarelle for starters, this is a leveled up chicken nuggets, double fried. For main we had their famous rooster with potato's, and there is a reason why this is fanous. Perfectly spiced, really tasty, and the sauce fits perfectly. We also had grilled chicken squire, so tender and perfectly grilled. For dessert a rich chocolate brownie with nuts.

If you are in Pisa I highly recommend you take the 10 minute walk from the tower to this amazing restaurant and enjoy your dinner here, I promise you...

We have been looking for a restaurant for locals and finally found the one for our taste. The restaurant is just 5-6 min walk from the tourist attrations in Pisa. Our waiter was funny , offered their specialities both in food and wine. We chose the galletto con patate rustiche ( grilled whole chicken w bake potatoes) and galletto con verdure griglio (chicken w grilled vegetables) .The chicken was fresh, well spiced and ready in 10 minutes!! The kids’ ate crocarelle ( fried chicken nuggets) w baked potatoes was finished without leftovers!!! The place is full, so be prepared to reserve a table in advance or arrive early in the evening. Andare a cena al ristorante Alligalli è stata veramente un'ottima idea. Di solito sono propenso a descrivere prima l'ambiente ma per questa volta farò un eccezione cominciando dal servizio perché il personale è certamente l'elemento più importante del posto; fin da che siamo entrati, ci hanno accolto calorosamente e avuto molta attenzione alla nostra permanenza e alle nostre esigenze: hanno, infatti, molta premura verso i loro clienti che siano nuovi o abituali, servendoli con simpatia e tanti "smiles". Si capisce che sono orgogliosi del loro lavoro e della loro attività. Ciò rende il ristorante Alligalli, un locale amichevole e dal clima familiare. Il ristorante è piccolo ma ha un'aria calda e accogliente, con un arredamento giovanile e casual, molto bello, e una veranda davanti all'ingresso. Le panche e i tavoli sono di un suggestivo legno che si intona perfettamente con il tema del locale. Prima di iniziare a descrivere il cibo, devo precisare che il menù e variegato ma con poca scelta di portate; basti dire che nella proposta degli 8 hamburger, solo la metà è di carne di manzo mentre gli altri sono di carni diverse, a parer mio consiglierei di ampliare un po' di più il menù dei panini di manzo per avere maggiori possibilità di scelta. Comunque, la qualità dei cibi è molto alta e la bontà eccellente. Iniziata la cena, abbiamo dapprima preso gli "Stuzzichini del Mese", quindi, anelli di cipolla, cavolfiore fritto e zucchine grigliate, molto saporite; in seguito, ci siamo messi tutti d'accordo e abbiamo ordinato, tutti, il "....Dipetto", un galletto alla brace con contorno a scelta (patatine o verdure grigliate),con una polentina al forno e della salsa Alligalli; la gran parte di noi l'ha preso patatine dipper. Un po' piccante ma succulento, con la salsa poi, le patatine acquistano un sapore eccezionale. Solo la polentina non mi è molto piaciuta. Do una nota di merito anche al dolce: un Cremosissimo cheesecake ai frutti di bosco guarnito di cioccolato bianco e condito con una leggera mouse di frutti rossi, una vera opera d'arte.
