Setting was nice, it was a warm windy night. The house red wine was not good, it was off but we chose to not complain. That should have been our clue. We ordered an antipasti, primi and secondi to share for the 2 of us. We pointed to what we wanted and clarified our order. I tried to order in Italian but he kept speaking to me in English so I figured he knew my language. I think I was wrong. We waited a long time and then our antipasti and primi came out at the same time. My carbonara was tasty but cold and the octopus was just ok We told the waiter when he asked but I don’t believe he understood. Then our swordfish came out and it was so overcooked I couldn’t eat it. They overcharged us and claimed we ordered the secondi of Octopus not the antipasti. Why then would we get it before the other secondi? The octopus was 28 euro and they refunded us 14. What an unforgettable dining experience! At Le Petit Jardin, we had some of the best seafood dishes I've ever tasted. The lobster and crab pasta was rich and perfectly balanced, and the frittura mista was grilled to perfection—especially the spada (swordfish) and shrimps which was incredibly fresh and flavorful.

We also tried the pizzetta, which had a deliciously thin and crispy crust, and the Tropea onion salad—a true local gem that brought everything together. The calamari fritti deserve a special mention: crispy, light, and drizzled with the most fragrant Calabrian olive oil.

What truly sets this place apart is the warm, genuine hospitality. The service made us feel right at home—like we were dining with family.

Let me start with the service. It was ok, the waiter was nice. They add 6 eur charge for the service without asking, which I don't like, because tips should be voluntary, if you're happy, not mandatory without asking IMO, but that's probably a matter of preference.

What we were thoroughly disappointed with was the food. It is nothing like in the pictures. I wanted the burger that they had in the picture, double juicy meet, tomato, salad, nice, juicy, simple, something that would be worth the 13eur they are asking for it. Instead got a single, small, dry meat, with no tomato, nothing like in the picture. Well, be the judge, just for fun, I took pictures of what they show and what they serve.
