Nostrano Local Bistrot — Restaurant in Pizzo

Unfortunately, my recent dining experience at Nostrano restaurant was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, everything went wrong, and I left feeling dissatisfied and frustrated.

The first issue arose when I arrived at the restaurant and was not greeted in a friendly manner by the hostess. In fact, she seemed to be annoyed by my presence and was quite abrupt with me.

Once I was finally seated at my table, the problems continued. It took an unacceptable amount of time for the waiter to come to my table and take my order. When my food finally arrived, it was cold and lacked any sort of flavor, making me wonder if it had been sitting out for a while before being served to me.

To make matters worse, the service throughout the meal was extremely slow and my requests for refills on my drink went unanswered. By the end of the meal, I was left sitting at my table for an extended period of time waiting for the check, which should have been a simple task but turned into a major ordeal.

In conclusion, I would not recommend dining at Nostrano to anyone. With poor service, lackluster food, and an overall negative experience, it's not worth the time,...

If you're looking for a great spot to enjoy some fresh fish while soaking in a beautiful view, I can't recommend this Italian restaurant at the Port of Pizzo enough! Our group of six, including two kids, had such a lovely experience here.

The location right by the water is just stunning. We were seated outside, and it really added to the laid-back, holiday vibe.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh and well-prepared — we savored every bite. The menu had a good variety, which made it easy for everyone to find something they liked. Even the kids enjoyed their meals, which can sometimes be a challenge!

The service was also a highlight. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. They seemed genuinely happy to have us there, which made our meal even more enjoyable.

We had dinner for 5. 2 adults and 3 children. All the kids had pizza and it wasn't up to standards, dough was thick ans full of cheese, it would be unfair to call it American pizza but that was certainly the feeling, specially after trying top quality pizza in Moby Dick, and the one we had in Il Campero Rosso up in the main piazza. I would definitely not recommend nostrano for pizza. We also had the tuna with caramelised onion from Tropea, it was really nice, well cooked nicely moist and full of flavour.
