Ristorante Pizzeria Carlo Alberto — Restaurant in Pompei

We visited a couple of weeks ago. My daughter still maintains this was her best pasta dish of the visit to Italy, (pasta with italian sausage and aubergine) and our pizzas were great. What made our evening, was, we was asking how far to get to a certain area to pick up our tour for the ruins, the owner thought we wanted to walk there now (about 9.30 pm) and was adamant he was going to drive us there after his supper, really friendly place, and the cost, with drinks less than €50, well worth a visit, a lot of locals eat there and its only 2 mins...

Nice family run restaurant. Good food reasonably priced. Had Antipasto Caprese, Linguine al Cartoccio, white wine, and excellent warm cheesecake and espresso for dessert. Hearty seafood pasta, with abundant calamari and baby clams. Cheesecake was fresh and complimented the slightly salty pasta. Friendly owner and daughter gracious with my very limited parle Italiano. We laughed and made each other understood. More than enough...

The pizza here is excellent.
