On a wet, grey & miserable Sunday (7 Jan 2024), I discovered this not to be missed place to the right of the Santuario which really cheered me up. Firstly Maria's smile and warm welcome were so comforting. She then enthusiastically explained the variety of pizza, panuozzo, fritto etc on offer, and the kind of flour used in their products, and proceeded to warm up what were selected. The dough of the pizza here is very different from the soft Neapolitan style pizza in that it's incredibly crunchy, and tastes like hand crafted sourdough, ditto the panuozzo which is in the Gragnano style, like a nicer and crunchy ciabatta. They look deceptively heavy as in fact they are very light, sublimely tasty with quality ingredients, and you won't break your jaw chewing on them! I even took away very yummy salsiccia & friarelli panuozzi which Maria wrapped securely in greaseprooof papers. I also brought a bread back to London and wish I had bought 3 as it is so good and crunchy when toasted & drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Maria recommended a beautiful craft beer to accompany the meal. How I wish I had discovered this place earlier instead of on the day I was leaving. But I will be back at the first...

Initially, because of the super central location, I was a bit worried I was walking into a tourist trap. I couldn't have been more wrong. First, off the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even helping my belgian friend with an italian phrase he was trying to learn. The food was incredible, the crust on the pizza was by far the best I've ever had in my life (and I've eaten A LOT of pizza). Once we were done eating, I was expecting to pay a lot since it was so incredible, there were no prices listed anywhere, and that can be risky sometimes. When they told me the price, I was sure they made a mistake and only charged me for my half of the meal. I was delighted to learn that in fact I was mistaken and it actually was that inexpensive.
When I come back to pompei, this will be a place revisit for sure. I'd highly recommend this to locals and...

The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had warm Margherita Pizza, Caprese sandwiches and Limone. If you like, they carry some nice regional beers and wine for individual portions. The staff had us taste-test freshly-made potato croquettes stuffed with mozzarella and a fried rice ball packed with egg plant herbs which were 😘 Our dinner faced the lovely church as we watched the sky shift from light to dark. The location is excellent for people watching as it is very active on the piazza. What a lovely way to close a beautiful...
