Ristorante Lo Scirocco — Restaurant in Ponza

Nice enough food but very poor service. Ignored by staff for 20 minutes before we were able to get a response about a table after getting a waitors attention. Waitress walked past us at least 10 times and wouldn't look at us or acknowledge us at all. Half an hour before being served. We required a table for 4, waitress brought an additional chair for us to use, I had to get the chairs and table ready myself with great difficulty between 2 rude patrons, one who refused to move her chair in. Staff were inattentive, had to call them over any time we needed as they would not come to take your order without being prompted nor would they check on you. 3 people finished their meals before the 4th person even received theirs. Ordered a bottle of water, received a frozen bottle of water which exploded all over me when waitress opened it. Again, had to call waitress over a couple of times in order to get a new bottle that wasn't frozen. Also didn't get other things that were asked for, even though the waitress said she would get them. Uncooked, saltless, tasteless pasta served. The worst pasta I have ever had in my entire life. My impression about Italian food has never been so lowered.

Grilled sword fish was also not salted when grilled. The grilled fish was in fact soaked with water. I'm amazed at the quality of the food for the hefty price they charged.

English speaking people can find it difficult to communicate with them as they don't speak English completely.

I guess the previous reviews are mostly fake. One thing good about the restaurant is its location. The proximity to the sea brings some cool breeze to the table despite the worst food...

Il 27 agosto siamo state a cena in questo ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato un'insalata di mare da dividere e poi separatamente pasta con vongole e una grigliata mista. Dopo qualche ora dalla cena ci svegliamo per forte mal di pancia quindi diarrea e vomito. I sintomi sono andati avanti per tutta la notte e per tutto il giorno dopo . Si sono alleviati ieri sera e questa mattina stiamo meglio nonostante alcuni strascichi. Per un giorno e mezzo , nonostante la sete per i liquidi persi, non siamo riusciti a bere un sorso d'acqua perché ci incentivava il vomito. In conclusione: 4 giorni di vacanza e per una cena al ristorante ci siamo rovinate gli ultimi due giorni stando a letto con brividi di freddo e febbre. Oggi ripartiamo. Grazie mille!!! Faccio questa recensione per EVITARE in futuro l'errore che avete fatto con noi. Il cibo è importante. Nel momento in cui entriamo in un ristorante o qualsiasi altra cosa ci affidiamo a voi. Non siamo cose che vi pagano, ma persone che poi avranno delle conseguenze per i vostri errori o mancanze. Spero che questa recensione vi faccia capire cosa avete sbagliato e di poterlo evitare prossimamente.

RISPOSTA: Buonasera, sono contenta che sia stato un caso isolato e siamo state male solo noi due ma il fatto è che dopo qualche ora dall'unica cena di pesce ancora oggi ci portiamo dietro odori di cozze e vongole... per essere il più delicata possibile. La mia non vuole essere un'accusa ma semplicemente un fatto che ho voluto farvi conoscere. Abbiamo contattato il pronto soccorso di ponza e descrivendo i sintomi ci hanno detto loro di cosa si trattasse. C'è da sottolineare il fatto che entrambe siamo state male dopo qualche ora dalla cena e quello che abbiamo buttato fuori nei giorni successivi ne è la prova. Se avete coscienza pulita continuate pure a lavorare come fate ora. Il mio voleva essere solo un fatto conoscitivo per evitare che...
