La Cisterna — Restaurant in Portoferraio

Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a family owned business. They work with regional & seasonal food. The wine is also organic and delicious!

You truly feel the authenticity of the place! The staff make sure you feel comfortable and as if we were welcomed into their family. Oh, their bathroom is just impeccably clean!! Lastly, don’t forget to have cash on you for tipping the staff.

They are closed on Monday-Tuesday So, be sure to call them and book your table:)

You can spontaneously arrive. But they most likely are fully booked or will ask you to come back at a later...

It's hard to figure what to praise first and that is a good thing.

They have wonderful waiters, fantastic food (my wife still measures other tiramisu to THAT tiramisu at the cisterna) charming atmosphere and and overall fantastic experience across the board.

We randomly stumbled in based on the smells and ate a couple of things, but it was well worth it.

My only suggestion would be a more refined wine of the house, it does not love up to your dishes.

I feel confident in saying that this is the best pizza on Elba…it could even be the best I’ve ever had (always a risky statement as pizza is subjective, but damn this is solid 10/10 pizza).
