Hotel Ristorante Le Sirene — Restaurant in Pozzuoli

Situated right on the water with ample balconies with seaviews I have stayed there multiple times over the years. The restaurant is great! Evermeal , everytime. My last visit was in October with another couple we were traveling with. We ate there both nights. And the restaurant is not limited to just the quality of the food and professionialism of the staff. The people watching is most entertaining. The rooms themselves are basic though, and the showers small. I mean small.Noisewise, the hotel is next to a main thoroughfare so there is a choice between windows open and some road noise, or closed and perhaps stuffy. I think Americans tend to overlook the advantages of Pozzuoli as a base. It has a nice amphitheater and is central for seeing the Cuma area and Lake Averno (read your Virgil), as well as the Baia area where wealthy Romans vacationed in ancient times. With no reservation we happened on this place and it was a jewel! The owner is more than accommodating. The room we had had a balcony over-looking the bay, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We had dinner every night we stayed and each meal was better than the last ! We stayed four nights and we felt like family when we left. Frederico and his sons do an excellent job of keeping things in order and making each and every person feel like they are the only person there.
