A definite gem, tucked away under the beautiful streets of Radda, this Enoteca delivered. The setting and town are of course jaw dropping, and the cellar ambiance is great as you dine on simple yet amazing home-style cooking. You absolutely picture an Italian grandma cooking in the back, using her family’s recipes passed down for generations. Truly excellent food and of course a massive selection of local wines. The Vernaccia di San Gimignano was a very nice offering for a white.

Every dish here was good or great. The salumi plate was all excellent, with a nice mix of very thinly sliced meats that melt on your tongue. The tripe was amazing (and I usually don’t like much and the pulled pork surprisingly good with its herbal notes. The ossobuca was tender and full of robust flavor. The beef cheeks were tender and delicious. The bread soup was thick, creamy and rich. The salad had some nice extra touches like the pickled vegetables. This was our second visit to Enoteca e Wine Bar Casa Porciatti and we walked away very satisfied. It has a cool cave like entry and serves very good food as well as wine. They have an excellent choice of local wines as well as wines from other parts of Italy (Montalcino, Piemonte etc).
