We stumbled upon this fabulous place while staying in Radda in Chianti, and now that we are back home in the USA, we dream of it every single day. The owners and staff are so incredibly kind and welcoming, so as soon as you walk in, you are greeted like family. The first night we dined here, we couldn't believe our great luck. It was so delicious we returned early the next morning for coffee, a sandwich for my husband and a pastry for me. The same thing for the next morning. The appetizers of bruschetta alone could have been a meal, but I had the mushroom lasagna ... best ever; my husband had a chicken dish. The food was so mouth-watering that it pains me to write about it now that we are so far away. Our wine was so yummy that we bought some to have shipped to us. We are planning a return trip to Tuscany, JUST TO EAT HERE AGAIN! You will love it! Don't miss out on this wonderful place, with such wonderful people.

We visited Bar Dante quite a few times during our week long stay in Radda in Chianti. The owners work long hours and we have really enjoyed their service and visiting with them! All the food has been really good, but do try the cinghiale ragu, and ask for the cheesecake! Great ingredients, great service, great mix of tourists and locals.

If we could give Bar Dante 10 stars we would! My wife and I traveled to Radda for 3 weeks with our 4 month old and visited Bar Dante at least 8 or 9 times during our stay. We went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and tried just about the whole menu! Carolyn was incredibly accommodating to us and our baby. The food is all authentic and the bar has been run by Fabrizio and Carolyn for decades. Simply the best bruschetta you will ever taste! When my wife and I think back on our trip for years to come, Bar Dante will always be front and center in our minds. If you visit, don't be afraid to sit back with an extra glass of chianti and watch the world go by from that little...

I grew up visiting bar Dante every summer with my family. Prior to tonight, I have not been there since 2010. Knowing the previous owner, I was excited to try Bar Dante under Claudio and Virginia’s ownership. I can confidently say bar Dante is the best restaurant to drink, eat, relax, and live the Tuscan lifestyle. Claudio was an absolute gem. We cannot wait to visit next year. If you pass up on Bar Dante, you are missing out on the spirit of Radda. Relax, breathe, enjoy the joys of life, and sip some wine… the ethos of bar Dante is why you visit Tuscany.
