English: Superb! I had the opportunity to try a restaurant with great potential, a niche for those who have a palate ready to experience the flavor of truly tasty dishes with exclusive combinations. Dry-aged fish, a specialty for a few. My partner and I had two appetizers (Grouper tartare with grapefruit reduction, almonds and flower petals and a dry-aged tuna ragù timbale with aubergines). Then we ordered two second courses, in particular a dry-aged Grouper fillet with seasonal vegetable caponata, raw scampi and a Béarnaise sauce then a dry-aged monkfish fillet, Nori seaweed and fermented carrots and brown stock. Finally we had two desserts of the day which were also delicious. The dishes were exquisite, the plating well done and the staff very kind. What can I say? 5 stars deserved! I will definitely be back to try something else... P.s. in addition to the restaurant during the day the shop also offers quality sandwiches and much more. See...
Read moreVery poor experience, definitely not the best “welcome to Reggio Calabria” you may wish for!
We went for lunch at “La Ristobottega” after paying a visit to the “Bronzi di Riace” at the nearby Museo Archeologico Nazionale, because online the restaurant’s closing time was 15:00. Although we arrived at 14:20 we were told that the kitchen was closed and, when asked for an alternative option, they suggested heading to the nearest Mc Donald’s.
For some reason, we had way higher expectations from this place…can I recommend amending your opening...
Read moreThe food was absolutely beautiful - one of the best we had in the region at a very reasonable price.
Sadly, the service and the atmosphere were not great. The waiters were super uptight - they made us feel like we don’t belong in a weird, snobbish way. Our lead waiter was often very condescending, almost offended on behalf of the restaurant, when we asked questions about the food.
The restaurant was mostly empty and super quiet. We were there to have fun, eat good food and drink wine, but it felt like a...
