Dom Bistrot — Restaurant in Rimini

We (couple below thirty) went there for a small dinner due to the warm weather. Atmosphere is nice so we decided to try this restaurant. We got a table quickly and were seated immediately. When ordering the waiter did not take and notes and we‘re already wondering but experienced ones are on top even without notes. We ordered a starter and two main courses with a shared side. The drinks took roughly 10-15 minutes to arrive although there were only 5-10 other tables being served. First dish to arrive was the side to the main courses. The other dishes came (although we explicitily ordered one dish as a starter) all at once. The Caesar Salad went wrong all the way: wrong salad, wrong dressing, breaded chicken (which could have been an old Schnitzel sliced up) and the croutons were slices of old bread. The only thing they did not mess up was the Parmigiano.. To be fair, the starter was okay, therefore the second star. However, they charged like a fine dining spot (compared to other good restaurants here in Rimini). Let me summarize: A starter, two drinks and two salads were roughly 70 euros. Not worth the money and a tourist rip-off. Would definitely...

at first waiters were nice. drinks came quickly. but after over an hour wait one of the waiters pointed to us alongside another waiter, then came over and apologised and said the chef had broken his leg (while pointing to his arm) and could not make our pasta. pizza’s had been served to customers consistently and the last pasta dish had come out 40ish minutes before he came to tell us this. so we were left wondering, if this excuse was true, how long they were aware of it before telling us.

we had the option to order something else but by that time we were ready to just leave. they still made us pay for our two soft drinks, and stood at the counter clearly laughing about the situation with one another while we were still sat.

the atmosphere wasn’t particularly pleasant either. no shelter from the busy street and an array of people trying to sell us things without the waiters doing anything. all in all would avoid as there are some lovely restaurants...

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder; 3 und 4 Jahre alt) wollten schnell einen Happen frühstücken und sind hier in dem Bistro eingekehrt. Bestellt haben wir für die Kids Waffel, 1x mit Nutella, 1x ohne alles. Komischerweise wurde die Bestellung mit Nutella mit insgesamt 2 Waffeln auf dem Teller gebracht, und die bestellte Waffel ohne alles, mit nur einer Waffel. Gekostet haben beide dennoch jeweils 7€. Die Waffel ist nur ca. 4x10cm groß, was den Preis aus meiner Sicht überhaupt nicht rechtfertigt. Leider habe ich kein Foto von dem Essen gemacht. Wir Erwachsenen haben 1x Panini, inkl. Pommes Frites (13€) und 1x Toast(9€) bestellt. Das Panini war um die Uhrzeit leider nicht verfügbar, daher wurde mir angeboten, statt dem Panini, den selben Inhalt in ein Fochacha Brot zu servieren. Dem habe ich zugestimmt. Serviert wurde ohne Pommes, ich vermutete, dass die Fritteuse noch nicht läuft und es deshalb einen Rabatt geben wird. Das Panini sollte Burrata enthalten, stattdessen war feste Mozzarella Käse drin. Das bestellte Toast Gericht beinhaltete 3 Scheiben Baguettebrot, belegt mit Lachs, Spiegelei, Avocado, Käse und Olive. Der Lachs sah leider nicht allzu frisch aus (kann mich auch getäuscht haben), daher haben wir es vorsichtshalber nicht gegessen und beiseite gelegt. Die Kinder haben jeweils ein kleines, wirklich sehr kleines, Glas ACE Saft (weil Orangensaft nicht verfügbar war) bekommen, was mit jeweils 3,50€ berechnet worden ist. Alles in Allem haben wir sehr wenig durchschnittliches Essen für sehr viel Geld bekommen. Pro Person, einschließlich der Kinder, wurden zudem 1€ Gebühr berechnet. Das ist im Vergleich zu den anderen Restaurants auf der Meile noch überschaubar. Es wurden schon Gebühren bis zu 3,50€ je Pers. abgerechnet. Der Rabatt für die fehlenden Pommes belief sich auf nur 1€ :). Das Fochacha Sandwich hat demnach 12€ statt 13€ gekostet. Der Preis für Pommes, wenn man ihn regulär bestellt hätte, lag bei 4-5€, wenn ich mich nicht irre. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und höflich. Die Eigentümerin, nehme ich an, hat den Kids noch jeweils ein Keks geschenkt. Das macht das Ganze aber leider nicht besser. Preise für Americano 2€ und Cappuccino...
