Embassy — Restaurant in Rimini

My husband and I dined here on a Saturday night. The waitress was very polite and friendly, offering suggestions and making our experience a pleasant one. We enjoyed the cheese plate to start, followed by grilled octopus with vegetables and eggplant parmigiana, followed by a cheesecake dessert with cherries. Everything was delicious except for the octopus dinner. My husband said it was served lukewarm and had little flavor. This is a dish he loves and tries at different restaurants and this was unfortunately the worse one he’s had. We would still recommend this restaurant as the atmosphere and service were wonderful. Magnificient! Had dinner here twice. We just had pasta, but they made a big impression! One with tartar of red shrimp and the other tortelini with vongole and tomato (al crustacei I believe) And although crustacean tartare is among my favorites, the tortelini was equally stunning. The next day we had the pasta con astiche/lobster. Marvellous, cooked just right, not dry. And a generous size. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, they immediately recognised us and remembered every detail from the night before. Una Tradizione che ha Perso il Suo Valore

Per quasi dieci anni, questo ristorante ha fatto parte di una piccola tradizione tra amici — un appuntamento annuale che aspettavamo con piacere, per ritrovarci e gustare buon cibo. Purtroppo, quest’anno siamo rimasti profondamente delusi.

Già da qualche tempo avevamo notato un lento peggioramento, ma questa volta è stato evidente. La qualità del cibo è calata sensibilmente, e perfino i piatti storici non sono più quelli di una volta. Ho ordinato il mascarpone con fragole, un dolce che aspettavo ogni anno con entusiasmo. In passato veniva servito in una ciotola generosa, con fragole fresche e una consistenza cremosa. Quest’anno, invece, ne sono arrivate solo due cucchiaiate, con appena due pezzettini di fragola e il resto coperto da una gelatina artificiale al gusto fragola. Una brutta copia di ciò che era.

Il pesce però era buono. Ma non più della stessa qualità di prima. Anche il servizio ha mostrato delle disattenzioni che non ci saremmo mai aspettati da un locale che frequentiamo da così tanto tempo.

Dispiace dirlo, ma dopo quasi dieci anni abbiamo deciso di cambiare ristorante per il nostro incontro annuale. Le tradizioni cambiano, come cambiano anche i ristoranti — purtroppo, non...
