This restaurant was very close to the hotel my partner and I were staying at, and we went here on our first night since it was late and we were starving and it was nearby. It was a great first impression of Italian restaurants for us, incredibly friendly and accomading service with menus in different languages and friendly staff. We returned to this restaurant on our last night before our plane back, and it was still great. I had the amatriciana (which was absolutely incredible, the best I've had) and the cacio e Pepe and both were full of flavour and solid portions sizes while being reasonably priced- both the previous dishes were €14, which seems in line with most restaurants around Rome if you want a good quality portion of pasta. Good wine as well, €7-8 for a generous and tasty glass. My partner had the Bolognese which was very rich and flavourful but not too fatty. Also benefited from a relaxed, quiet atmosphere, nicely decorated and intimate feeling, made for good conversation. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area, just be prepared for the bread/service charge so it doesn't surprise you on the bill- the bread is very good and a nice addition to the delicious sauces so I thought it was worth it.

If you're visiting or local to Rome, I cannot recommend Altrogiro enough. Everything about my experience at this restaurant was outstanding. Amazing and delicious food, superb service and a wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the eggplant meatballs, the tempura provolone and the stuffed eggplant as starters and they were absolutely delectable. Highly recommend trying them. Very unique and I definitely had never had or seen anything like them previously. As our pasta dishes we had the bolognese, cacio i pepe and the carbonara which were all incredibly excellent. For our main dishes we enjoyed the entrecote and the special of the day, veal cotoletta. Both were fantastic, the veal cotoletta was HUGE as you can see in my picture. The garlic fries that came with the veal were the best fries I've ever eaten. So incredibly tasty. The bread that came with our meals was absolutely fantastic as well. It was served warm and fresh. I definitely felt we got good portions and the pricing was fair. The bathroom was also very nice and very clean. Truly we had a fantastic experience and a wonderful meal here, I cannot recommend it enough!

A very nice restaurant where to eat in one of the richest neighborhoods in Rome. Here you can find traditional dishes (like carbonara, amatriciana, and so on) along with some refined ones, so it is very versatile. You also have a very big wine list. People there is very nice, and we met a couple of VIPs eating there, which I guess is a good sign! The only bad thing is the price: this place is everything but cheap, go there with this in mind.
