Salmon and caramelised cabbage… overcooked and bland salmon and braised cabbage. Beef cheek and mash potatoes…. The most bland unseasoned meat with mash that is served in nursing homes (very runny) I just… was very much looking forward to this meal- I saw such amazing pictures of the food on previous reviews. I don’t know if it was a language barrier (google translate is incredibly handy but does not quite translate 100%) but we both felt it was a deeply disappointing and overpriced meal. We were randomly given a closed paper bag containing slices of bread, no plates or butter to go with the bread, it was just put on our table. The whole experience made me wonder- What happened to the seasoning? Since when do chefs not season...

Don't understand how this place got so many good reviews. Food and wine was overpriced and didn't taste very good, quite bland. Had to add salt, olive oil or pepper to every dish to make it more interesting. We were here on a Saturday night and strangely, only one other table was occupied. Service was very slow. We found this restaurant while staying at the Hotel Cavalieri, which is just a 5 minute taxi ride away. What a wonderful meal in a charming local restaurant.
