Al Casaletto is located 15km away from Central Rome, at the industrial area along the main road next to a TV station. Although there are some construction works at the main road, our night's rest is not affected.|We were warmly greeted by the male receptionist (a young 'Russell Peters' look alike). He is nice and friendly to allow us to check in our luagages as we arrived early.|We were allocated 3rd level (roof level) of a small twin sharing bedroom. Room comes with a mini fridge-stocked, attached bath, aircon, shoulder-height wardrobe and full mirror. The wifi is somewhat weak to our room 13.|The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a beautiful spread of croissants. These are crackling crisp with every bite, stuff with various stuffing. I love the honey and pistachio stuffes croissant i particular. A choice of various coffee is available from barrista. The male barrista in particular is friendlier and polite which is good way to the our morning.|Thumbs up to the hotel and housekeeping- with clean towels...

Read moreThe check in was easy and very efficient, the single room everything one needs, basic, but comfortable and quiet enough for being next to a main road into Rome. |It took a while for the water to run hot, which was a little confusing and the room was warmer than I'd prefer, but not terribly so. It seemed to take ages to get served supper, which may be because we were on vouchers, so they dodn't expect a tip, but I would happily have paid for an extra aperativo or digestivo if the service had been better. It is really disappointing when you feel people are deliberately trying to ignore you, without even knowing you. Breakfast was fine and there was a friendly welcome, which is welcome first thing. This is probably the standard for Rome, but that is maybe another reason I try to go to there as little...
