Bistrot Luce — Restaurant in Rome

The restaurant is tucked away in a building with a large garden patio off main Street. The food was average, unfortunately the fries and the fried chicken strips had a this “old oil fried” taste from being deep fried. The ribs were cooked well but the bbq was not to my liking but was decent. The octopus was good and the young lady who served us was very kind. The owner was very kind and the atmosphere was charming. The food was not bad, but I can only say it was just ok. I had the pasta special; rigatoni with tomato sauce and eggplant. It was nothing special. My husband and daughter had panko crusted lamb chops, with pan-fried potatoes. The lamb tasted like schnitzel, just not as tasty as schnitzel. The breaded cheese stuffed deep-fried flowers tasted like they were cooked in old fish fry oil. The meatball appetizer and bread basket was the best part...

Ambience: 5.0 open kitchen but there is not any smoke smell. Very clean and warm place, no matter to have dinner with friends or have lunch with family are all very suitable.
