Le Terrazze di Tiberio — Restaurant in Rome

It was definitely not a good experience. We dined here on the first night of our stay because we were tired and didn’t want to travel far—typical tourist behavior.

I really regretted it. I had read the reviews but thought, "It's Italy; it can't be that bad." Well, I was mistaken. Although we were fed and not poisoned, I seriously doubt the chef is Italian, takes pride in his work, or is even a qualified chef.

The bruschettas were basic and seemed to be made with stale, whole-grain bread that must have been leftover from breakfast a week ago. It wouldn't have been too difficult to use the same bread as the pizza or just some authentic Italian flatbread.

The main course consisted of lasagna and pasta amatriciana. Unfortunately, the lasagna was burnt at the bottom, and the pasta was topped with deep-fried bacon pieces. The excess fat dripped into my pasta, making it overly salty and greasy.

Additionally, the adult at the table next to us was watching a movie on his cellphone at full volume. It would have been nice if the staff had enforced basic restaurant policies and asked him to reduce the noise. However, given the poor quality of the food, it seems that common courtesy was not a priority here.

Overall, I was bothered by both the bad food and the lack of consideration. I would not recommend this restaurant..

Waren mit der Familie 4 Tage in Rom. Das Hotel ist in weiten Teilen renoviert und bezüglich Sauberkeit, Service und Personal gab es nichts zu meckern. Das Restaurant hatte einer 5er Bewertung bei Google Maps. Die ist null gerechtfertigt. Man sitzt zwar gut und eine kleine Karte sollte die Qualität zu Gunsten der Auswahl verbessern, aber selbst die Touristen-Restaurants in den Hotspotgegenden haben bessere Küche geboten. Die Pizzen waren okay, aber entfernt von der italienischen Klasse, die wir in den letzten 2 Wochen selbst auf Campingplätzen gesehen haben. Die Carbonara war mit einem Bergkäse gemacht und sehr salzig. Die Menge war gut. Es gab aufgebackene Tiefkühlbrötchen und Essig, Balssmico und Öl aus Portionstüten vorweg. Dies diente auch als Salatdressing. Preislich natürlich super aber Das hatten wir nicht gesucht..... Übernachten kann man gut...

Wir wollten um 20 Uhr das Restaurant besuchen und wurden abgewiesen! Dann wollten wir was trinken aber nicht bedient!! Wir sind Gäste...
