I just tried Nativa Ristorante last night with my mate.
This place is AMAZING! 10/10, recommend to anyone who lives in Rome or is passing through. The owner and all of the employees there are extremely generous. This place is upscale. The atmosphere is phenomenal. You can tell that this place put in hard work in mastering their craft.
What we've ordered:
appetizer: uramaki sushi. This sushi is amazing, especially with the mayo and basil caviar
first: lemon tortelli. I love tortelli. I told my mate I usually do not like lemon-flavored FOODS...but this was amazing! Absolutely delicious
seconds: vebab with potato chips. The chips were great: very airy, and very crispy. The vebab tasted great too, ESPECIALLY with the sesame yoghurt sauce. I even dipped the chips in the sauce and it tasted amazing. My mate and I agreed that this wrap is amazing as it came out, hot! We didn't eat the wrap cold or anything, but we definitely agreed that the flavour would likely be diminished if it was a cold wrap, and the soy strips would be chewier/tougher to eat...which isn't a problem, some people like this. But Nativa...you did amazing with your vebab!
dessert: peanut butter cheesecake with salted caramel sauce and peanuts. Loved this. This is cheesecake done right. Absolutely great. My mate and I think this could taste even better if the back of the cheesecake had crust as well, not just the bottom.
I spoke about how I found this place, also noting to the owner that I have a minimum threshold requirement that needs to be met for me to try a place, and this place was considered superb by the masses, before I have tried this place. I can confirm: this place is a MUST if you're looking for amazing Italian food, vegan or NOT. Your star ratings are well deserved. I told my mate I wish I could take Nativa and transport you guys to USA, cause I would eat this food weekly. Absolutely loved the food, environment, and vibe. If I come back to Italy, I WILL be back here. Best vegan spot in all of Rome, and dare I say, to the extent of my knowledge and experience thus far, all of Italy :)
Great job Nativa. Keep your thing! Grazie!...
Read moreThis was the BEST authentic Italian/Vegan food I had whilst in Italy. We were travelling down from Turin to Portofino and Cinque Terre through to Florence, Rome and then down the eastern coast to Sorrento/Amalfi, yet none of the Vegan food i had compared to the food I ate at Nativa. If you're looking for a classic Italian meal but vegan, this is the place to go - we ate here for dinner and every dish from start to finish was incredible, and the vegan cheese was the best part as it tasted so realistic. I really hope that Nativa makes its way to London so we can enjoy it at home too! We also spoke with the owner of Nativa and you could sense his passion for cooking and his vision of vegan Italian food. Will be sure to come back here when we're...
Read moreWe had one of the best meals of our lives here when we were on holiday in Rome last month. Everything was so beautifully presented and prepared, you could tell so much thought and love went into the food. The carbonara?? Honestly made me almost cry it was so good. Best I've ever had, so creamy and rich. Service was amazing, quick (but not at all rushed) and its very clean and cosy inside. A good buzzy vibe but still very relaxed and nice. At the beginning of the meal they brought us a little amuse bouche sourdough fritter which was crispy and divine. Also, the canoli with cashew cream and the arancini were out of this world. HIGHLY recommend you pay this place a visit, vegan or not, they are really lovely and absolutely...
