Obicà Mozzarella Bar - Castel Romano — Restaurant in Rome

Hands down, worst service I’ve had in all of Italy so far. It took so unbelievably long for a waiter to take our order and the entire restaurant was empty! There was one table who was midway through their meal and another table who just ordered drinks. There was absolutely no reason for us to be seated without any service for so long. I wanted to get up and leave so many times but we were so hungry and the alternative food options are so limited at this sad outlet mall. Getting our actual orders took just as long and we didn’t get our drinks until after our meals. We then ordered donuts, which was already laid out in the front counter area but since it was taking long again I just got up and asked them to pack it to go. Originally we ordered 2 donuts but they only had 1, as I was reviewing the bill they charged us for 2 so I inquired about it and it took him so long to understand it was their mistake. didn't have problem with service like some of the other reviews. We went in at around 1:30pm. Food quality was really good, prepared nicely, and food came out promptly.

The only problem I have is with the salad portions. For €17, I'm expecting a filling salad. Have had salads in other restaurants around Rome for €8-10 for about the same size. I'm not sure if it's the olives or sun-dried tomato that make it so expensive? At that pricepoint, I half-expected fresh mozzarella! If they could have added a handful more of lettuce or spinach, I would...

The place itself is an excellent place, the design and cleanliness, the staff there is very nice and kind and was always there to help us when we needed something.

The food offered there is of a very high standard, large and fresh dishes prepared with quality ingredients.
