Very high quality restaurant a little outside of city center, but if you're in the area to visit MAXXI, I highly recommend this place for an upmarket sit-down Roman meal. The food is very very good. I had their luscious tonnarelli (egg pasta) with summer truffles, and their grilled steak dish with a side of broccolini... so so tasty. Seasoning on everything was good. They also give you bread and olive oil (probably part of the coperto). The price for this lunch, June 2024, was 46 euros, so it was not cheap, but the vibe is very local - customers were mostly well-dressed businesspeople having antipasti and coffee, and maybe 10-20% tourists (like me!) doing a daily formule. I dont think there is wifi. Some of the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but not every area. Where I sat outdoors, there is sort of a step up to be seated under the canopy. Went there twice, and it was FANTASTIC. The first time we sat down looked at the menu and were thinking of getting up because the kids wanted pizza, and there was none on the menu. Before 2 mins even passed and we could get up, the server came with water and bread. He then helped explain the menu and made recommendations. We all ended up enjoying our food as the pasta was some of the best I've had , and the service was spectacular. (9/10 recommend the pumpkin ravioli. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.) Premetto che abito il quartiere Flaminio da circa 8 anni e che non ero mai andato in questo ristorante perché non mi aveva mai ispirato. Dopo la sua recente ristrutturazione abbiamo deciso di provarlo ieri sera. Siamo stati accolti in un ambiente piacevole da personale di sala gentile al quale avevamo comunicato che eravamo del quartiere e non TURISTI! Qui finisce la parte piacevole della serata. Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti e due secondi, un contorno e due calici di vino. Uno degli antipasti era pizza fichi e prosciutto. Prosciutto buono come anche i fichi, pizza invece intrisa di olio. I saltimbocca alla romana galleggiavano su un dito di olio, ma, sbagliando, li abbiamo mangiati ugualmente quasi tutti. La fornara con patate, consigliata dal cameriere, era impresentabile aveva il gusto di cibo conservato in frigorifero per almeno 24 ore , probabilmente non rispettando tutte le norme specifiche visto che si sentivano anche altri odori e conteneva anche parti che generalmente vengono scartate durante lo sporzionamento. Ho rimandato indietro il piatto ed ho fatto l’errore di chiedere un nuovo secondo il baccalà in umido con patate. Il baccalà era chiaramente almeno del giorno prima o cucinato talmente male da renderlo scuro e soprattutto secco quando invece dovrebbe conservare la sua morbidezza. A questo punto ho evitato ulteriori polemiche, l’ho in gran parte mangiato e chiesto il conto che ammontava a 85 euro. Desidero precisare che il piatto rimandato indietro non è stato aggiunto al conto e che il cameriere ci ha offerto due calici di vino. Non entro nel merito del conto perché ormai spendere più di 40 euro a persona per antipasto e secondo della cucina romana e vino al calice sembra essere diventato la normalità ma ricordiamoci che non lo è. La qualità del cibo proposto è assolutamente inaccettabile. Mi dispiace per chi lavora dentro il ristorante ed in fondo anche per il ristoratore, ma mi sento di sconsigliare fortemente questo ristorante, un po’ caro ma soprattutto...
