Beautiful menu that features both classical Tyrollean and dishes with a twist. Probably one of the tastiest places in Selva. Service was a disappointment. We had booking and came in time, but had to wait for 15 mins, which would’ve been ok if someone met us. Starters were severed relatively quickly, but mains took 1.5 hours. The rest of the company enjoyed the drinks, especially everyone enjoyed local gin&tonic, which was served with a small performance. My Aperol was made poorly, it was transparent and I could barely feel any Aperol in it. Goulash with speck dough potato balls is a must - the goulash is average, but the speck balls were fantastic. Cheese board was brilliant, and beef tartar was well done.

One of Selva's oldest institutions. We stayed at the attached boutique luxury hotel and ate here 3 times - the food was THAT good! Friday was a popular night for their weekly Iberian style ribs - book early seating is limited.

Il servizio è sempre stato attento, tuttavia alla richiesta di un piatto di verdure cotte specificando il motivo della mia richiesta, mi è stato presentato un piatto di verdure cotte al vapore e piastrate, peccato per le guarnizioni di verdure crude e prezzemolo crudo messe sopra. Poca attenzione per una donna incinta che ha chiesto durante l'ordinazione di non mettere verdure crude nel piatto, come richiesta mi sembrava semplice. Fatto notare l'errore mi è stato risposto che si tratta di semplici guarnizioni. La frutta e la verdura consumate crude e mal lavate possono essere un rischio per Toxoplasma, Norovirus, Virus dell’Epatite A e Listeria monocytogenes. Non ho mangiato le verdure, le ha mangiate il mio compagno, io ho cercato di mangiare del secondo, ciò che non era stato toccato dalle guarnizioni crude. Non mi resta che sperare che le guarnizioni siano state lavate bene!!! Che delusione!!!

Our group of 6 persons travelled from Thailand and stayed in Val Gardena for 5 days. We were looking for the best restaurants for dinner experience like locals. We walked around to find the best one but they were all booked. We decided to find from google and found that there was one a bit outside the town center was recommended. We walked 2 mins from town center to this restaurant, Speckkeller. We found that our decision to choose Speckkeller was truly correct. We were enjoyed our excellent food there. The quality and taste of food they cooked was very very good. The service was excellent. Spekkeller is our top recommend when you are at...

You'll likely need to make a reservation for this place as it books out in the high season.

They food was overall good. We were especially surprised with how good their beef noodle soup was. I also recommend the steak and potatoes. I wouldn't recommend the mushroom tagliatelle. The bread that comes in the beginning was all stale, which was disappointing.

That said the size of the dishes are on the SMALLER side compared to other restaurants we've tried. They also forgot an order and forget to bring us extra plates as requested. Small things, but when you're paying more for a nicer place, you'd expect these kinds of mistakes...
