We had a fantastic stay here at the Garni Schenk. Thank you to Madeleine and her team who made use feel welcome and helped with all our needs whilst we were in Selva. |Arriving late on Saturday night due to late flights and a journey from Venice, our key cards were waiting for us along with all our info. We were able to park our car directly outside the hotel, however they also have a heated garage too, which is huge. There is a €5 a day charge for the garage. Worth it. |We had a family room, bunk beds for the kids and a typical Austrian double for us. |The room was spacious and had a balcony over looking the river and the Costa Bella lift. Super easy access to the Sella Ronda from here. 3 min walk. |The breakfast was well worth the value, a great section of continental options & eggs anyway you want them cooked. The morning coffee was superb. |The boot room is spacious and has a heated boot drier with space for all the guests skis and boots. You can access the boot room via the lift, stairs or the side door from the outside. Remember to take your room key to enter it. Our room was cleaned every day with new towels etc. | You are 2 mins walk from the nearest ski hire shop, 3 mins from the Costa Bella lift and a 4 min walk to the Ciampinoi lift where the main ski pass office is. You can book and pay for your lift passes in advance with the lift pass office and have them delivered to your hotel. Very easy when using the Dolomiti app or web site. This was a great help so as to reduce faff on the Sunday morning, meaning all we needed was to sort skis etc. we made the slopes for 09:30.|We used the following restaurants in the evening due to being a party of 9, Europe, La Bula and the Costa Bella. Remember to book ahead as they are always busy. |In summary we had a fabulous time here in Selva, skiing most of the Sella Ronda and having a fantastic base to come back to each day. Thank you Madeleine for being a super host and making our holiday that bit more special. Your B and B is...

Comfortable beds, lots of storage for all our stuff and a large bathroom with all the necessities. ||After a restful night a great breakfast both buffet and à la carte was ready for us. Just loved that cinnamon fragrance of the home made local apple Strudel pie!||Walking distance to numerous skiing sites and après ski makes the Garni Schenk a great spot to enjoy the best of the beautiful Selva and of the entire Val Gardena.||Back to the hotel there is a large ski-room perfect to store all our equipment and to find it super dry and warm the day after. Then a hop to the hotel sauna for the body and mind rest after a day in the snow. ||The kids found a comfortable space to play and do some homework next to the fire place in a mountain view hall. ||Could you ask for more?||Special thanks and greetings to the Schenk family and their staff for their kindness, help and warm welcoming.||Just can't...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for a week in the studio apartment in September this year. We are very glad we did.|Garni Schenk is in a good location in Selva in the La Gardena valley. It's a few minutes to the bus stop, which takes you to lifts and to the other 2 villages in the valley. Numerous good restaurants are within easy walking distance as is a supermarket.|Breakfasts were a joy. Carlo's parents provided excellent " care and attention" at breakfast and the meal definitely got us ready for the day. Eggs " to order " were a treat.|The best part of our stay for me was Carlo, the manager/owner. At every turn he was there to help us .... restaurant recommendations, travel connections, hiking recommendations etc. And he speaks perfect English.|I highly recommend the Garni Schenk....
