I saw that somebody wrote that this place was a tourist trap. It is an absolutely unfair comment. This restaurant is a gem in Scalea. The ingredients of each and every meal were authentic and very high quality. Whatever we ate was up to the promise written on the menu. The service and the atmosphere were very elegant. My wife and I arrived at our lodging in Scalea and were delighted to find this place just around the corner as we were wandering to find an interesting place to eat, and what a great experience! The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the outdoor patio seating provided an intimate setting in the small piazza along with a terrific view in the distance. Prenotiamo in questo locale che dalle foto sembrava carino…arriviamo e tra le varie cose ordiniamo due calici di vino…arrivano due calici dove in pratica avevano sporcato il bicchiere…lo faccio presente alla Cameriera e lei mi dice che loro lo mettono così..che così si mette in generale..alche mi permetto di dissentire dicendo che non solo vivo a Roma ma ho girato parecchio e un calice così vuoto non me lo avevano messo da nessuna parte…la cameriera non sapendo sostenere la conversazione chiama il titolare che arriva e con modi tutto che garbati mi ribadisce quanto già detto dalla sua collaboratrice.. gli dico che se era venuto a ripete la stessa ramanzina poteva risparmiarselo che ormai non mi andava più di rimanere lì.. e che per correttezza avrei mangiato l’antipasto e disdetto i due ordini che avevo fatto e sarei andata via..lui mi ha invitata ad andarmene subito se volevo e lo ha fatto in modo molto insistente..gli dico di lasciarmi finire il vino in pace e che poi me ne sarei andata..ah ci hanno portato un altro calice di vino per “accontentarmi” queste le loro parole…inoltre UNA fresella e due calici con un dito di vino 22 euro…comunque ragazzi se capitate a Scalea il mio consiglio è’ EVITATE...
